I just got back from a soccer tournament. Both of my girls were in it… 8 games!! It was crazy running back and forth between games for each girl. We had so much fun though – and the girls had a great time bonding with all their friends all day! We are part of an academy team, so we are all very serious about soccer. Seriously – my youngest is only 5. At first my husband and I were like, omg… these are crazy people. But it turns out that it’s a great time. And, as of this week, I am now the “team manager” for my 5 year old.
I think I mentioned a few posts ago that I bought some copic markers. I keep seeing them everywhere, so I thought I would try them. Of course I couldn’t buy just one – I bought 15. I guess I was optimistic that it would work out! I really love the dimension they give an image.
Copic markers are special because they blend together on the paper. Also, you can keep working them into the paper without having the paper get wavy or pilled up (is that a word? I mean when the paper starts to shed) from the moisture. They are alcohol based instead of water based. They are very cool. The only downside for videotaping is that it takes a looooong time to color something. So, this video is pretty long because of that. Next time I show copics, I will edit out more of the coloring. At least the music is good so you have something to keep you entertained!
I had planned to practice using these markers before being official and doing a card video. But, I just ran out of time. I went straight to video on my first try. I did watch several copic tutorials on youtube before doing this card, which I would highly recommend if you end up getting copics. I think it came out pretty decent for my first try. A little bit out of the lines with my coloring, but oh well.
I made this card for my husband, hence the stamp on the back.
