Hi All,
I just love this saying. It’s one of many really good ones from the Simon Says Stamp Stripe Greetings set. And the fox? Don’t you just love him? He’s from the Some Odd Girl Hipster Pets set. The three animals on this set are the perfect size and fantastic for coloring. I’m kind of picky about my animals. I like them to be cute, but not cutesy. I colored him with Copic markers.
I used the Avery Elle Custom Panels die set that I used last week on THIS CARD. And, I’m once again using my Ultra Thick Embossing Powder. It’s very coarse clear embossing powder that results in a thick and shiny finish. I used it along with some embossing paste for the background stars.
Stampin’ Up! released their 2014-2015 annual catalog on Monday! There are a lot of really cute stamp sets and dies. My order is in, so you’ll be seeing me use some of the products in the coming weeks. If you don’t already have a demonstrator, please consider ordering from my sister, who donates her 20% commission to Foster Kids Charity. You can view the catalog online or shop at her store.
Enjoy the video and have a great week!

Thank you for another great video. I love watching how your card comes together!
Barb
I always love your cards, but especially the ones that use copics. I’m looking forward to your review of the new Stampin Up Blendabilities markers compared to Copics. Can you do a haul video when you get your order from the new Stampin Up catalogue?
Darlene DeVries
Hi Barb, I will try to do a video when I get my package!

Hi Darlene, Isn’t that sentiment what we all need to hear from time ot time. I love that fox too! And your copic coloring. You’re making me really want/need some copics. LOL
Maria Rodriguez
This little critter is so adorable and so are the other images on this set. I love the way you made the stars, I’ve never tried this stuff but you make it look so simple and fun.
Every time I see you coloring with Copics I get so darn tempted to get me some. I looked over your chart for your favorite color combinations and I will order two of them just to try them out, the ones in the purple/violet and the ones in the green. At Blick they are so affordable. Thanks for the link to the store, I’m heading there right now.
Thank you for another winner video.

Okay, so I have UTEE, and I’ve never thought to use it this way. I also have a bunch of the Lawn Fawn Critters (also cute like the SOG stamps), and I am *SO* going to lift your card! Thanks so much for sharing another dose of amazing creativity with us! XXOO from CO!

Hi Darlene, ohhh my goodness I love this card. I dont usually go for little critters but he is the cutest I have seen in some time. And the way you did him on the card is just brilliant. Even went to buy and found him out of stock – will have to wait. Thanks so much for sharing

Darlene, You are one foxy lady. The card is great. I do so appreciate your video – helps to see all the work that goes into one of your cards. I love the way you use the curve to add interest. The stars are sure a positive addition and the fox is so cute sitting on his little hill. Thanks for sharing your techniques with us. You have kept the fun in making cards with all your lovely tips.
Gloria Taylor
What a cute card & clean as you mentioned. Sometimes just making a card like this are better, thanks Darlene!

I know you’ve mentioned this many times, but I can’t seem to remember. Can mention again the weight of the Neenah Solar white card stock you use for cards? I’m thinking maybe 110 lb.? Can you maybe mention the weights and their uses? It’s time for me to buy some paper and I want to get a ream instead of 25-sheet packs. Many thanks,
Darlene DeVries
Hi Mary, it’s 80lbs. I purchase mine at Ellen Hutson.
Angie
another great card! less is more; looking at the supplies list, so many items are sold out. i’m imagining the made rush of sales from this post.
