Happy New Year!!
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I enjoyed some quality family time with my hubby and girls. No traveling – just relaxing, it was really nice.
On today’s card, I used my Stampin’ Up! markers directly onto a stamp. I spritzed it with water to get that watercolor look. Using water with the markers makes it easier because you can take your time coloring the stamp, since you’ll be moistening it with the water afterward.
A little tone on tone with the background pieces and that’s about it.
Enjoy the video and I wish everyone a healthy and happy 2013!!!
Darlene

Hello Darlene: I’m glad you had a wonderful Holiday Season with your family. Up here in NW Indiana, we did the same. Our extended family is so big that it’s impossible to see everyone but my daughters, their husbands and our 5 amazing grandchildren came to our house on the 25th. and yesterday, January 1st. and we had a really fabulous and intimate time. My hubby and I were very happy to see all of us together to start the New Year and also, to watch the Rose Parade and then, the college bowls.
As always, your card is amazing. I love how you did the background and I’m always in awe at how you use that sponge to cover the paper with such an even coat of color. Thank you for sharing this card today. It’s always kind of hard to make a Simpathy card but this one is a winner.
Many Blessing for you and your lovely family.

Hi Darlene: Happy New Year to you and your family. I love how you offset your Baja Breeze and Perfect Plum panels using the hand drawn line to bring it all together. Haven’t had lots of time to respond to your videos lately, have had a family medical problem that I am dealing with. Just know that even though I don’t always respond, your videos are the best, keep up the good work.
