Hi All!
For those of you who haven’t seen my new site, welcome! As you know, I am inspired by butterflies – I use them a lot on my cards. If I see one outside, I must stop and just admire it, no matter how busy I am. They are just so peaceful and beautiful.
This week I used an Aqua Painter to watercolor my background. It’s a really cool pen that is filled with water. When you squeeze it and dip it into ink, you get a watercolor brush. To make your painting lighter in color, add more water. To make it darker, use less water. When you’re done, just squeeze a bunch of water out and it’s clean!
I also used the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. I sprayed it over the whole card after I finished painting. I tried to take a close-up photo of it, but it really doesn’t show how pretty it is in real life.
I’ve talked about Stampin’ Up! color coordination before… the Not Quite Navy ink I used to watercolor my background is the same color as the cardstock I mounted it on. And then I just added 3 tiny pearls to the inside of each flower.
Thanks to everyone who sent me emails and commented on my new site design. It seems like everyone really liked the gallery, so I will continue to add a thumbnail after each card I make. Enjoy!!

Love it! I have that stamp set and the punches that go with it. Now I have another idea. I love the water pens, too. Thanks so much, Darline.

I love your art work. I also love the background music, and have bought some of the music you’ve played in your videos. What music was playing in this video? I’d like to add it to my collection. Thanks, Holly M

@Holly: For the last couple of months, I have started using some royalty-free downloadable background music for my videos. I was having trouble with music rights issues and being able to post pop songs on YouTube. You can find the music here: http://dig.ccmixter.org/.

I love this card. I especially like the idea of combining sponging and watercoloring. I don’t have the copics, so to watch you make a card with supplies that I have on hand was terrific.
Thanks for yet another fabulous idea.
