Wednesday’s Card: Split Circle Pattern

Split Circle

Hi All!

I find myself embossing with black all the time. I think because it gives such a great crisp and bright, dark image. Of course, I just love embossing in general.

Anyhoo… I stamped the Penny Black Circle Pattern and cut it in half to make this card. Nothing too complicated here.

I’ve been busy this week because, believe it or not, I will be making TWO posts this weekend, BOTH with a video. My turn is up again on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog! Yeah!! I’m still so excited to have been selected for their team this quarter. In my typical overachiever fashion, I’m doing videos for all the posts. I wish I could relax more, lol!! I also just received the supplies for my 2012 Christmas card, which I’m hoping to post next Wednesday.

Enough rambling. Enjoy the video and I’ll be back on Saturday morning for weekend post #1! 🙂

Darlene

p.s. Sorry the video is a little dark this week – I forgot to turn my light on, lol!!

Hello Darlene: Really pretty card, that design is great for coloring. I always admire your steady hand when you draw those lines free hand and also your fussy cutting skills. Thanks for a great card. What did you cook for dinner?

Maria, I cooked a new recipe called Pork Roulade with Apples and Rosemary. It didn’t go so well unfortunately. The food was good, but I burned my hand!! I grabbed a pan that was in the oven at 450 degrees. I know.. not so smart. I took it out of the oven with a potholder, but then I tried to move it to a different burner. It’s much better today, but omgoodness, that was worse than childbirth.

Love the split circle but I am so not good at coloring. You make it look so easy! Thank you for sharing.

Oh my goodness!!!!! I’m so sorry you got hurt, Darlene, a burn is indeed super painful. Please take care of your hand, make sure the blister wont open otherwise you can get it infected. From watching your videos I assume it was the right hand that got burned so it’s going to be hard not to be able to use it to much.
    I’m sending healing~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~vives to you!!
    God Bless you.
PS. That pork dish sounds delicious!!

Thank you Maria! It was actually my left hand and I finished all my videos for the weekend before I burned it. After 5 days, it has healed incredibly well. It’s still a little sensitive, so I have to be careful about clapping my hands when teaching my dance class, lol! Thanks for your healing vibes – they worked. 🙂

    Darlene,
Loved the card – hadn’t thought about the black embossing but it really looked nifty. The split circle was such a great idea.

Hope your hand is better. Ouch!! Am anxious to see your next video. Wish you had one everyday! I never tire of your tutorials and always marvel at your ability to come up with such great ideas.
