Hi All!
As soon as I saw this stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I knew I had to have it! I combined it with another new set, Gorgeous Grunge. It’s a really simple card to make.
I took a close-up photo to show you a) the texture of the watercolor paper I have been using and b) my new lens! I am so excited about it!
It’s this micro lens. I actually took the full card photo with it also. I’m using the same photo setup with no flash that I explained in THIS POST. As far as the paper goes, you can see that the Strathmore Watercolor Paper is pretty smooth compared to your typical 140 lb watercolor paper.
Anyway, enjoy the video and have a great week!

So great, as always. Love that you just hand-draw the outlines… I would be so scared to screw it up. You’ve made me want those Distress Markers too. On my shopping list now!
I so wish I could order from your sister… it won’t let me and redirects to a Canadian supplier – but I would rather order from her so the money goes to charity!

Great video – I love how clear your directions are and the tips you offer are always spot on too. Those are two of my must-have stamps in the new catalog. We will get gorgeous grunge at convention and I would love to win the other one. Thanks for posting your darling card and video.

Great card, as always Darlene!! You know? that stamp set, “Gorgeous Grunge” didn’t really caught my eye but now I think it’s really cool. Some times I need to see it in “action” to appreciate it better, the pictures on the catalog not always help you notice the sets.
Thanks for another winner video.
Maria.

What a delightful way to “blend” two sets into one fantastic card!
Have a safe & enjoyable Fourth!!!

I agree with Maria… I didn’t appreciate the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. I’m in to abstract art images and this will definitely be one to get. You make it look so easy and I do appreciate your fantastic inspirational techniques. I saw your video on your comparision of water color paper and I am going to get some of that 90 lb watercolor paper.

Thanks again, Darlene for sharing this easy and cute way to make a card. I love how you describe exactly how to create your cards. Also letting us know what kind of ink, stamps, etc. you use…can’t wait for next week’s project!!

Darlene,
Great card! I love how you made the frame around the outside. Thanks for sharing this idea.
Always such fun to watch you create.
