Hi All!
Today I used Simon Says Stamp’s Partial Cut Flowers dies. The card is pretty simple to make, yet it looks like you put more effort into it. Sounds good right?
A twist for me today – I used colored cardstock! Except for black and occasionally brown, I hardly ever use anything but white. And believe it or not, I actually just purchased some patterned paper in my last Simon Says Stamp order. I’m living on the edge this week. 🙂
Every summer I take my girls to Colorado for two weeks. My poor hubby stays home to work – he just can’t take the time off. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity, yet I wish he could come with us.
While I am away, I will be having some very special guests filling in. I hope you will come back to visit and see what they have in store. I’m sure it will be great, as I invited some fantastic designers. Enjoy and I’ll be back in a few weeks!

I like that you colored only one flower. I would have felt it necessary to color all of them, but I like it with only one flower colored. Nice card!! Have a good vacation!

Great card this week Darlene! I love the way the petals lift so you can see the green under them. It really looks stunning.
Have fun in Colorado… if you’re wandering around and suddenly get accosted by a fan, it means I ran into you somewhere! I just might be star struck! 😉

I love this card so much! Great job, it looks beautiful! I love how you stamped the swirls onto the blue cardstock, and I love those cool flowers that aren’t all the way cut! 🙂

What a beautiful card Darlene, I love this die, never seen one like that so, on it goes to my ever increasing Wish List 😉 I love it that you only colored one of the flowers, the big one, that makes it stand out so much but at the same time, the smaller flowers are also noticed.
Have a blast with your daughters Darlene, it’s fantastic that you are taking time off to be with them. When my girls were young, we used to have a “Mother/Daughters” day, it was great, we went shopping, grab a bite to eat or went to see a movie, just us girls. We also took vacations with their dad but, this particular day was dedicated to us. Your little daughters will remember this time spent with their mother, always.
I can’t wait to see who will be your guests while you are away.
Have fun!!
Till you return, many hugs 🙂

Thank you so much Maria! 🙂

Darlene – such a lovely card. That blue is an amazing color. On my wish list for certain!! I love how you added the thin stripes along the side. Your “tailoring” is such fun to watch. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful card as always Darlene! I’ve been remiss in commenting and letting you know just how much I enjoy each of your cards, and how much I enjoy watching what you create. Your videos are timeless, I refer back to SO many of them for various techniques all the time, and sometimes just because I need a ‘Darlene card/video fix’ = ) in between Wednesdays! Just last night, I came to your blog to specifically watch (again) the video you did on ink comparisons, always such great information, thank you so much for all that you share with us. And your blog set up (I don’t know the techy term?) is organized so great for navigating around and finding just what I’m looking for so fast. How sweet of you to set up guest designers for us while you take a break, have a great vacay with your girls!!

Wow, Darlene another great idea for a card. Love the idea of the color green in the background. Also the pop-die cuts of flowers were a interesting touch. Can’t wait to see what u have for us next week.

Beautiful card. I just got that die and wasn’t entirely sure what to do with it. You can bet I’ll try something like your demo. Thanks for all your inspiration. Enjoy your vacation.
