Wednesday’s Card: My 2012 Holiday Photo Card

Holiday Card

Hi All!

I treat my holiday cards like gifts – my way of giving a little something to everyone on my list. So, I try to do something a little different and special. I know a few weeks ago I mentioned that I was going to use this holiday set, but I just couldn’t work the tree into my design. The card is a little on the whimsical side and the tree is kind of sophisticated. I was disappointed because I really loved that tree. But, I like this design because it’s easier and has a matching die – bonus!

I try to make my holiday card as simple as possible because I make about 80 of them. This card is actually very easy to make – all the steps are quick – no heat embossing or distressing or ribbon tying. In fact, it’s so quick that I had to slow down my usual video speed! It’s a standard card size of 4.25″x5.5″, so you can make two out of 8.5″x11″ cardstock.

Today is my daughter’s birthday AND my husband’s birthday! I was actually due to give birth on October 21st, but the doctor said that if she was late, he would work on Sunday, 10/24/04, to have her delivered on my husband’s birthday. And, of course, she was late and I was induced on that day. What a great doctor I have! The gift that keeps on giving. 🙂

Enjoy and have a great day!

Darlene

Oh Darlene, your daughters are indeed beautiful, it’s like we are watching them grow up before our very eyes. I remember watching that video of one of them doing something on stage with those long ribbons, she was wonderful.
Thanks for the idea, I also include a picture of my family here for my family in Mexico.
This card serves as a frame too.
