Wednesday’s Card: Merry Trees

Merry Trees

Merry Trees

Happy Holidays!

My first holiday card of the season. I like to make a bunch of random holiday cards, plus I make the official photo holiday card in bulk. Simon Says Stamp sent me this holiday set last week when I became an official affiliate. Being an affiliate means that I will receive a small percentage of the sales that result from people linking to their store from my blog. So, if you are planning to order from Simon Says Stamp, just linking to them from my site will carry my blog id with you. You don’t have to do anything more. I know a lot of you support me in this way and I genuinely appreciate it. 🙂

This card is really just about measuring. See the video for exactly how I lined up these trees. The stamps themselves are excellent quality, so my Stampin’ Up! inks worked great on them.

I think Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler is my all-time favorite holiday color. I tend to use it a lot over the holidays. And this is where Stampin’ Up! is great – matching paper, ink, marker, twine, and stickles. Heck, they even have embossing powder, chevron ribbon, grosgrain ribbon, and seam binding. Awesome!

Hope you’re getting a jump on the holidays and they are not too stressful for you!

    Hi Darlene,

I bought the dies for this set & am making these cards with friends. As we use the tree die, the cardstock is sticking in the die more and more & it’s to remove the little trees without crushing them…any ideas for the trees to be released easier from the die? Is there something we can put on the surface of the die

Hi Karen! There is a tiny hole at the top and bottom of the tree. If you stick your paper piercer into the hole, it will help to pop the tree out. I have also heard that you can use a piece of wax paper between your cardstock and the die. Hope this helps!
