Wednesday’s Card: Masking & Ruffles

Ruffles and Masking

Hi All!

I had no Internet access for almost an entire week! I couldn’t check out my favorite blogs, I had to go to Starbucks to check email and post to my blog, and I had to find other things to do at night! I think it was a good exercise for me. It made me realize how much time I spend just sort of wasting time. I guess you could call it “downtime”, but since I don’t have an office job, I’m not sure I need downtime. Do I?

Anyway, I got this new trim from Webster’s Pages – isn’t it so pretty? Actually, I bought 3 packages of trim from that brand – lots of cool designs and fabrics. My cards are usually so clean and organized that it was a little uncomfortable for me to use this trim. You’ll see in the video that I fiddled with it quite a bit and did a bunch of deliberating over where/how to place it.

I used some post-its to mask the top portion of the card so that I could create the bottom half. It’s the same technique I used on this invitation. It’s amazing how great post-its work!

Enjoy and have a great week!
