Wednesday’s Card: Holiday Thank-You

Thank You Card

Hi All,

Bringing you some more holiday cheer today! I made this card to give to the host of a Christmas party I am going to. Hosting a party is a lot of work!! I think these people deserve some recognition.

I used Copics to color and I used masking with a post-it to create the snow. I just love this little guy’s sweater!!

On a different topic… I’ve been sending you guys to Ellen Hutson to purchase Neenah paper for quite awhile now. Well, she sent me an email thanking me for directing people to her site and asked if I would like to be an affiliate. I thought, why not? It means that if you go to her site directly from my blog and make a purchase, I earn 10%.

Okay, then I noticed that she sells Copics for $5.25 each, comparable to Dick Blick, where I’ve been buying all of mine. I thought it would be kind of nice to get your Copics at a place that has a bunch of other stuff you want. Not to mention she also has good coupon deals on occasion! Then I checked to see what kind of color selection she had, and well, she had all the ones I used on this card. And tons more.

I just made a huge purchase from Ellen with lots of cool things I’ll be using over the next few months (by the way, no discount for me – I really just like her store). Yes, an early Christmas present to myself!! I was going to have my husband click the link, buy it, wrap it, and give it to me on Dec 25th (like we do every year). But, that’s starting to get a little old and a little absurd when you think about it. Plus I wanted it NOW – I’m sure pretty much everyone can relate!! I think the hubby and I are going to cut down significantly on gifts this year.

I just thought it was really nice of Ellen to seek me out and thank me. I’ll let you know of any coupons she might have in the future.

My next Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft post is this Monday, so come back to visit. It involves watercolor pencils and cupcakes… we can’t forget those December birthdays!

Enjoy and have a great week!

Darlene, I could watch your videos full-time. I love all your designs. I’m paying close attention to your Copic colouring as I’m quite a novice at it. Thanks for sharing every week.

How cute that is! I love that reindeer stamp set….I just used it a card I did and posted on my blog yesterday. I think yours with the Copics is way cuter than mine but I was happy the way mine turned out, too!

Love how you did your snow banks….I need to remember to do that!

    Great card!

Also, I like how you did the snow banks. I follow Ellen Huston’s blog but have not ordered from her yet,but will link from your site if I do. Thanks for another great video.

Just love how you explain so much about the coloring and why you use certian inks for different things. It is so helpful to me.

Great card… I love your voice and the way you explain what you’re doing in your videos. Also, I order from Ellen Hutson and am extremely pleased!! I’m on her mailing list and she sends monthly coupons for 10% off if you are a frequent buyer, which apparently I am. Her packages arrive very, very quickly — the best shipping of any company I’ve used!
