Hi All,
It’s my parents’ wedding anniversary, so I wanted to make them a special card. I saw a card in Paper Crafts magazine that connected several pieces of cardstock and clear-embossed them. I used that idea to start with and built on it. For those of you that have purchased the Stampin’ Up! Color Coach, I just pulled 4 colors that were right next to each other in the stack – so easy! They are from all different color collections, but I think they look really nice together.
I have been waiting on the edge of my seat for my iMac to crash after 6 years. Well, it didn’t exactly crash, but the DVD/CD drive stopped working, the wireless card stopped working, and the I was down to 2 functioning USB ports. So, if I wanted to plug in my external drive, I had to give up either my keyboard or my mouse. Very annoying. I decided it was time to buy new. I’ve never been a Mac person – I bought this one as a last resort for video editing. I figured since 6 years has gone by, hopefully the PC has caught up on video editing ease of use. Well, so far, I LOVE my new PC. I bought Alienware from Dell. To my surprise, the unit is almost as big as my 5 year old. I knew I was buying powerful, but this seems a little much.
I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements on sale for $69 ($20 mail-in rebate + $10 off instantly). I was using iMovie, which is extremely easy to use – you really don’t have to know anything about video to create one. Premiere Elements has a ton more features, but with that comes a learning curve. It’s a little slow for me right now, but I’m sure I’ll end up liking it more than iMovie. Just need a little time. I think the video that it uploaded is not a high quality as the ones I was uploading with iMovie. I’m going to work on that for the next video. If you want higher quality, roll your mouse over the 360p under the video and selecting a higher rate. It’s a lot nicer in HD!
Enjoy the card and have a great Wednesday!!
