Wednesday’s here!
I think I am addicted to buying scrapbooking and cardmaking supplies. Even after I receive a package that has barely been opened, I am shopping for more. It’s just so fun to buy!!
Ok, but seriously, I got my first Stampin’ Up! order from the new catalog. I finally broke down and bought Tangerine Tango (the orange frame on this card). It really is a great color. And the stamp set I used? Well, it’s new for me, but it’s not new from Stampin’ Up!. I just never noticed it in the catalog before. I love it!
The stems on this card are a solid stamp. After I stamped it in Wild Wasabi, I went over it with Copics. Then, white colored pencil for added dimension. I think it’s the most realistic thing I’ve done so far. I almost feel like an artist, but it was actually quite easy!!
UPDATE: Actually, someone just pointed out that this stamp set is actually new this summer – it’s in the Summer Mini catalog. I should know that!! Duh!!
Enjoy!
SONGS: “Senorita Louise” and “Wrapped in Sky” by Drivin’ and Cryin’. Great band – I just looked them up and they are still together! They used to play at my college for parties. Wow.

I love that stamp set and just ordered it from the Summer Mini catalog back in June so it’s new to the big catalog this time. Right now though, my craft stuff is all packed up because I’m waiting for my husband to finish a new work area that he’s working on for me. I’m itching to be making cards, but can’t get to much of my stuff. BUT… as you said at the beginning of your post I sure can keep on shopping! LOL!! I constantly find myself buying new cardmaking supplies even before I’ve used what I’ve bought before. It’s definitely an addiction. But there’s always something new that I “need”! LOL!!! Your card is great!!! I can’t wait to try that stamp set.

As always, your video was very inspiring and a real joy to watch (also love the way you blend in the soft music background). Your foilage looks beautifully natural, and I really like the Spellbinder frame treatment as well as the way you used the Four Frames in your card design. Your water droplet treatment is so effective … I must give this a try. Thank you for sharing your art with us, Darlene!

Love your idea of using the white pencil to highlight areas and given that variance of light and shadow on your images. Very pretty card. The colours drew my attention straight away.

Oh. My. God. I just love everything about this card!! I love the colors and the combination of stamp sets. I have that same background set and use it all the time and I’m waiting for my SU order with the flower stamp. I can’t wait until it arrives so I can make this card (no copics…I’ll have to punt there!!). You may have answered this in the past, but where did you get those foam sponges you use around the edges? I use daubers or sponges, but looks like you have more control with yours. Thanks for yet another great card and tutorial!!
