Kind of a long title, I know, but I wanted to include everything about it! This card is made primarily with Tim Holtz supplies. I really love his distressed look – in both inks and stamps. I hope you like it!
I am in Colorado this week enjoying the nice, cool weather, while it is 106 degress at home in Dallas. Sorry, friends!! And hubby.
So the card… it uses black embossing powder for the stamp, then resists the distress ink in different colors. I placed the stamped image kind of off to the side – not sure why. Then I added the black half-beads to balance it. I didn’t even need to use my embossing buddy because the whole look is messy!
Enjoy the video and enjoy the rest of your week!

Beautifull card! I don’t do distressing, doesn’t work for me, but I love the way you did it!

Darlene, This is so cool! I have this ink and have not used it yet, I purchased it back when you used it for a previous card. This video just gives me another reason to pull it out! You are not kidding about the heat, enjoy it while you can! I am sure it will be in the 100’s upon your return! :-)) It is in the forecast for the next 7 days!!!

Wow – so glad I am here! The last time I remember it being this hot was 1998. Glad you are pulling out your distressed inks! Let me know how it goes.

This is a great card – I like it a lot! It’s so different from the everyday ho hum stuff I do – thanks for the inspiration!

I truly enjoy studying on this web site, it has got great blog posts. “One should die proudly when it is no longer possible to live proudly.” by Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche.

I love your designs. I create cards for my church to encourage members by mail. Most of your cards can be mailed. I somethings think designers do actually mail their cards, because postage skyrockets when your card is too thick or an odd size. Thank you for your sensitivity to that issue.
Emmy
Sorry – I meant DON’T actually mail.

Hi Emmy! Are you in the US? I send out all my cards and have never needed extra postage – even when they are several layers thick. The cards are all 4.25″x5.5″, so they are pretty small.
