Wednesday’s Card: Eight Ball

Eight Ball

Eight Ball

Eight Ball

Hi All,

I made this card for my 12-year-old daughter. I love this cute little stamp set called Good Fortune by Avery Elle! I got it because it’s cute but it also seems very versatile. There are a variety of different stamps in the set.

I outlined the focal area with twine, similar to what I did with this holiday card last year. It’s actually pretty easy to do with just a two-way glue pen and a paper piercer.

I love how this stamp set has all the little 8-ball responses. I arranged them in a random pattern on my block and then stamped them in silver (the silver ink I originally bought for holiday cards, but I like it here!). The ink is a little slippery, so you have to be careful not to put too much pressure when stamping or it will slide around.

Enjoy and have a great week!

Too Cute!! I was wondering what you would do with this particular stamp set when you showed it in your haul video. I love it! My son got a magic eight ball for his birthday and this gives me some ideas for a card for him. Thanks for sharing!!

I remember my daughters having one of those balls and they play around trying to guess what the ball was going to say, ahh!! they were little back then…..this are very sweet memories of their childhood. Your little girl will love t his card Darlene, this set is super fun, lots of sentiments and I love that fortune cookie stamp, you can print out other sentiments for it.
Thank you for this video and for the great tip about the twine, it really helps getting those sharp corners.

    Darlene,

I love your card and video. I purchased this set and you have given me a few ideas on how to use it. Thank you! I do have one question. You mentioned something about the silver ink. I too have the same problem and it never seems to dry. Any ideas?

Hi Holly! The silver ink definitely goes on wet, but it dries eventually. I didn’t touch it at all but just checked and everything is completely dry. I would leave it for several hours if you can. Otherwise, you can try a heat gun. By overnight it should definitely be dry. If not, maybe it’s the brand you are using?

I also loved how you do the twine corners. I am so going to play with that idea. Hugs, Lisa G
