Hi All!
Hope you’re having a great year so far! As you know, it was my birthday last week. Well, since I quit my corporate job to stay home with the kids 2 years ago, I have done very little in the way of fashion and make-up. I have found myself wearing my baggy jeans and oversized shirts way too often, and fleece has become my favorite fabric. No more. On my birthday, I got dressed up (with make-up!) and went shopping. I had so much fun! I am a new 41-year-old. I’m back to eye shadow, layered shirts, and skinny jeans. I’m a new person in 2011!
For this card, I was inspired by a card on the cover of the Stampin’ Up! catalog. I added my own twist by slanting the pattern and adding some buttons. I used Basic Grey’s Kioshi paper, which was last year’s pattern. You could pretty much pick up any book of patterned paper and just pull out some of the sheets. Just make sure you get some solids too.
Now, the song on this video is kind of odd. It’s actually one of the songs in my collection that I consider to be an “all-time favorite”, believe it or not. Just listen to the lyrics – it’s awesome!
Have a great week!

Oh, I don’t know how I missed this one. What a fabulous card, Darlene. I love how you showed how to place the strips of pattern paper down to the card base. Seems like such fun to do! I’ll have to try it. 🙂
Hope you had a fantastic birthday!!!!
