Hi All,
Today’s card was very easy to make. Seriously – the video is so short!
I really wanted to use Melon Mambo for my sentiment background color, but I didn’t have any matching string or ribbon. So, I just took some white baker’s twine and dyed it with a Melon Mambo marker and some water. Voila! Matching string.

Darlene,
This is a great card! I usually avoid the busy backgrounds and now I will know what to do with those that I have and have put away. This design has given me a whole new set of stamps I can use now! I love how you died the string. Clever woman, you are!!
thank you for this design.

This has to be one of my favorite cards! The picture looks like the sentiment is borded by red with red twine but in your video you made it pink. Is it just because of the lighting or did you make a second card?
Thanks for sharing!

It’s just the lighting – the photo is the exact card I created. It’s weird how lighting can make something look so different. The color is melon mambo – it’s like a hot pink color.

What a fabulous card…it looks much more complicated to make than it actually was. Thanks for sharing this!

That’s an awesome stamp and makes for a simple card that looks like you have gone to a lot of effort. Glad I’m not the only one that dyes their string and lace with inks to match what they are using. I your comment interesting about the Stampin’ Up ink with the clear stamps, I have not found this an issue with the stamps I have used however I don’t use it very often as I do find it stains the clear stamps.
Very nice card.

Quick, but gorgeous!

Nice card! Thanks for teaching this “old dog” TWO new tricks! Dyed string – brilliant! And colorbox chalk ink for clear stamps – – I always wondered why the S/U inks didn’t work well. Thanks! Happy weekend . . .

What a “COOL” card! Love the tip about ColorBox Chalk with these particular stamps. Perhaps that’s the reason why some of my clear stamps are grainy looking when I use my SU stamp pads. I’ll have to buy a ColorBox Chalk and check it out now. If it doesn’t make a difference, then it just means my SU stamps are a better rubber stamp than that particular brand. It looks like I have some testing to do before getting rid of certain clear stamps.

That was super fast! What a great stamp and en ever better way to use it. Thanks!

WOW. Such a Beautiful CAS card but WOW it certainly Packs a Punch. Obviously I need to learn a lot more about my SU Markers. I have them all but have hardly touched them, I didn’t even know that you could use Water with them. Thank You so Very Much for an AWESOME card and a Fabulous Technique.

Nice card, boy that Hero Arts stamp is really an “all-in-one” kind of deal. Seems like you just did some quick coloring and added the sentiment! I have to chuckle because I have noticed: when you take your card layer to the card base, I see you quickly flip open the card base…gee, I do the very same thing…because… I had my card base backwards and that is just the worst thing, especially when you really like the whole creation and now it’s upside down? And, it seems like the tape is really extra stuck and Egads!! Let’s just say, I know the feeling!!

I know Anna, I do that every time! Funny you noticed. 🙂
