My husband and I are renewing our vows for our 20th wedding anniversary. Now, we only decided to do this last week. And since we will be in Florida with my sister’s family and my parents on the anniversary day, that’s where we’re going to do it. I told my husband that I wouldn’t agree to do it unless I had a dress in hand. I canceled all plans the next day and actually found one, believe it or not. It’s an ivory gown and it is awesome – I LOVE IT!!!
Once that was done, onto venue, photographer, florist, cake, music, officiant, dinner, vows, flower girl dresses for my girls, and last but not least…. INVITATIONS!!! Of course, my favorite part. It makes it easy when you only have to make three – one for my parents, one for my sister’s family, and one for the scrapbook.
This invitation was so easy to make that you could literally make 100 pretty easily. The final size is 5×7. I didn’t even speed it up very much. And – get this – the green pattern is not patterned paper – I actually inked it!! I bought some Tim Holtz Distress Ink and a new craft mat, which you will see in the video. This ink is incredible. I have seen it in so many videos that I had to try it out. It is different because it doesn’t dry for 5 minutes, so you can blend it. And, you can emboss with it, too – think clear powder to get the color of every ink pad.
You should know that I went to the Scrapbook Convention last week. I spent a ton of money and had the best time. I will be using a lot of new stuff over the next few months – I’m so excited!!
Enjoy the video. I’ll be taking next week off, but I will post a photo after the ceremony!!

This is beautiful! I am thinking about making something similar for my wedding invitations. I was wondering how did you get to the text to print on the left side? I also wanted to ask what kind of stamps you used to apply the distressed ink?
Thanks!

@Kathryne – I use a Ranger Craft Sheet. It’s awesome and indestructible!

Hi.
How do you get the wording printed in that area (the renewal info)?
Thanks.
Darlene DeVries
Tammy, I did the wording on my printer. I just put my Neenah Cardstock into the printer.
