Hi All!
I’m using Distress Markers and Favorite Flowers for this really easy card today. I used this stamp set recently on THIS CARD. Distress markers still leads the pack in most often used watercolor medium for May’s poll. If you haven’t already cast your vote, please do! I love getting to know what you all think about different topics.
I hope you enjoyed the first Craft Space feature this week – I sure did! Don’t forget we’ll have our first Craft Spaces drawing this Thursday, May 28th! Our first giveaway is this awesome punch holder:
Don’t miss out. All you have to do is upload a photo of your craft space HERE. Please upload only one photo of your space. For those of you who uploaded multiple photos, I will be deleting the extras before the drawing. Good luck to everyone! 🙂
Enjoy the video. In case you don’t catch the measurements of the panels, they are: 1 1/8″, 1 1/4″, and 2 7/8″.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Cute card, Darlene! I have a quick question. So I noticed you used your stamp-a-ma-jig…and my question is: Do you find it’s too much of a hassle to use the MISTI sometimes?
Darlene DeVries
Hi Caly. Honestly, not really. I am very lazy, so I won’t use something that takes too much time. I won’t even clean my stamp-n-scrub, which is why I love using the Absorber. I keep a big jar of water on my desk so I can dip into it instead of walking down the hallway to the sink (which I’ve done with my Absorber on several occasions). I saw flowers on someone’s craft space photo and I thought, I would use that water for crafting, haha! I just answered a comment about sewing – I won’t use the sewing machine because it’s too much work. So, if I think the MISTI is not a hassle, it’s not!! 🙂

You’re so funny. I have been contemplating about the MISTI for a while. I keep justifying NOT buying it by telling myself that I don’t need it and that I can do everything with an acrylic block and a stamp-a-ma-jig like you did in this video (even so – I have yet to use my stamp-a-ma-jig – I guess because I’m LAZY too!). But – I know that a lot of people love the MISTI and find it a very valuable tool and I know I will too (WHEN I start using it) 🙂

Awesome card. I need to get more colors of the distress markets. I have all the colors you used but in the pads.

Love this swirlies Darlene, the water coloring is fabulous and the design really awesome. Now, I gasped, literally gasped when I saw that black smudge on your almost finished card, I knew you were not going to start over but I also knew you were going to fix it somehow…..and you did, masterfully.
It’s great that you don’t edit your videos Darlene, because by sharing with us the mistakes you make and how you deal with them, it helps us to solve a similar problem when it happens to us.
Another fabulous video, thank you for sharing.

Love the colors you chose, Darlene! You must be a mind reader or psychic, because when you were using the sanding block, I was wondering where you got that. And lo and behold, there it is in the products listing! Thanks so much for sharing your process! ~ Andrea

I loved the card and like seeing how you fix your mistakes. I was going to buy the Misti but oit looks like the raised the price by double At one poiint not long ago it was $50
now it &100. Do you know anything about this, or even where I may be able to get one for less than the 100.
Darlene DeVries
Hi Aki. It’s still $50. As a matter of fact, it’s on sale for $45 right now: http://mysweetpetunia.com/product/misti-screen-printed/

Darlene – loved this card. I have this stamp set and am going to try this idea. Thank you! I also looked at the one you linked in this post and really enjoyed watching you create that one too (can’t believe I missed it the first time). I agree that it’s great that you don’t edit out your mistakes. Your way of correcting things is so helpful.
