It’s time for the second card in my series with Penny Black’s Burst of Blooms. This time I’m doing some stamp highlighting by focusing on the center flower and fading the rest into the background:
I love the versatility of this stamp! I used my Inktense pencils today, which I haven’t done in awhile. I had forgotten how much I love these pencils.
Today is the last day to sign up for the Holiday Card Exchange. If you signed up last year, you’ll still need to sign up this year. It’s so fun to get handmade cards from other members, so I encourage you to participate.
Have a great weekend!

After watching your Throwback Thursday card yesterday that used Inktense pencils, I’d already decided to pull out my pencils to use again. As soon as my Penny Black stamp arrives, I’ll be doing just that. This card is so simple but also so beautiful and very effective.

Beautiful, elegant and looks pretty easy. Will sure try it, maybe this week, I hope.
I did not know you could use SU for water coloring. I would have thought it would pill
up. I do have some hangin’ around. Will try it Darlene.
That pink and black is so striking with the embossed white.
Thanks a bunch.

I love this card. It is so elegantly simple. It was so amazing that you did the artwork on the pink paper then cut it out, love the idea. Thanks.

Dang it! I didn’t sign up for the Christmas card swap! I knew I waited to long. Oh well, next time.
I love how you did this card! The stamp in and of itself is so pretty and there is so much you can do with it. I just love how you embossed it in white & then colored the flower in the middle with a black outline. It just makes the card pop and makes it look very elegant. I’m going to copy this if you don’t mind but first I need some white embossing powder! Thanks for the great idea!
