Video Series: One Stamp, Four Designs, Four Mediums – Card #1

One Stamp, Four Mediums

CLICK HERE to list all videos in this series.

I’m here for the first installment of my new series! I’ll be using the Spring Flowers stamp set to create four designs with four different mediums. If you’d like to play along, Simon Says Stamp is offering $5 off your order when you purchase the set – use code darlene at checkout.

I’ll be here each Friday during the month of January with this series. For the first card, I used Copic markers to color my flowers:

One Stamp, Four Mediums

These flowers can be a little tricky with all the lines, so watch the video for details. Here is a close-up:

One Stamp, Four Mediums

I hope you enjoy this series!

Love this series because I have the stamp set and wasn’t sure of the best way to color the flowers with all those lines. I can’t wait to see more. This card is beautiful and I’ll be making it this weekend since we’re getting snow, haha :O)
    Great work as always, Darlene!

I used to live in Atlanta! I went to Georgia Tech, and I have been seeing the photos they have been posting to Instagram – it looks frigid!! Stay warm and enjoy your crafting time. 🙂

Just heard on CNN here in Australia about your snow and icy conditions. I’d read your message earlier in the day so felt I was well up on the news, thanks to you! LOL!

I made an emergency pickup to get Courtney at school, since the school wasn’t letting out early. It was only one hour early, but I get nervous! All turned out well. 🙂

Fantastic. I can empathise with you.

Beautiful! Love the bright colors. Darlene, will you be using the dies also or just the stamp set. Just wondering what to order as your link is for the stamp only. Thanks for clarifying.

Hi Jan. Just the stamps – I didn’t order the dies. 🙂

This is a pretty card, Darlene. I love the concept of using the same stamp set for different cards, and with different mediums (awesome idea!). i’m looking forward to next week’s card!

I don’t have the same stamp set but one similar, so I’m going to try this design with the set I have. I don’t have a lot of experience with Copics but like you, I have some and will make due with the ones I have and give your technique a try. Wish me luck! lol

    Thanks, Darlene!

Just a beautiful card Darlene! I love how you put the flowers in a circle. They did confuse me a bit when you where coloring them. lol So glad you knew what you were doing cause I wouldn’t have! Hugs, Brenda

Happy belated birthday! Thanks for the great inspiration you give. I have stopped other online subscriptions because of cost-cutting needs but am so glad I kept up my LLC subscription. Can’t wait for my stamp set to arrive. I don’t do Copics, though. Might try Prismacolors.

I love your card. Can’t wait to CASE it. The you die link is to the small die, not the Stamptember large die. It’s out of stock right now. I’m going to use the small one for now. Off to play!

Thank you for pointing that out Jeanne! I didn’t realize there were two different sizes. I used the big one on my card and corrected the link.

No problem. I’ll see how it comes out with the small one!
