Happy Friday Everyone!
Today is Simon Says Stamp’s Early Spring Release! If only we could get early spring weather to go along with it. 🙂
There are some really fun products, along with some new ink colors. Some of my favorite stamps are the Birthday Balloons and Love Languages. The Handwritten Borders are adorable, and I love the sentiments on the Stripe Greetings – so different and special. Someone told me “you are enough” one time and it made me cry. I just love those words. Anyway, I digress… both of these sentiment sets fit inside the stripes of the Wide Stripes Background, which is pretty cool. I think this background could be really useful, either as a subtle tone-on-tone background or maybe inking up the stripes in different colors. I also like this die. It’s the perfect size to fit over a pretty background without taking over the card.
Is that too many favorites? Well, add two more – the ones I used on this card. The Tiny Ray of Sunshine stamp set and matching dies. Isn’t it so cute? A friend of mine just had a granddaughter named Elliott, so I had the perfect occasion for this set.
No video, but it really wasn’t hard to do. I die cut a circle and used it as a guide for my twine. I stamped and die cut the onesies and adhered them around the twine. Then, I just colored in between the shirts with a Y17 Copic Marker. I also colored Elliott’s onesie with Copics and I handwrote her name. I used Simon Says Stamp Sunshine ink and matching cardstock. The shimmer is from the Stardust pen I rediscovered recently.
Hope you like. Have a wonderful weekend!

Love the shiny, bright colors on this super cute card Darlene, believe me, we all had just about enough of Old Man Winter and his pranks, sheeesh!!
I like the stamp sets that have companion dies, they are so much fun to use, I’m not a big fan of paper snipping anything!!! Thank you for sharing.

So cute! I’m certain little Elliott’s parents will keep this one for her to enjoy when she grows up. I just ordered the balloon die fro SSS. Am hoping you’ll use it in a video tutorial sometime. Thanks!

How cute is that. Love the onesie and with Elliott’s, they will love this.

You had me for a minute or two when you said you colored between the onesies….Whaaaa???? Here I was waiting for you to tell me how you did the background behind the circle……….well, needless to say – I had to go back and study your card. That was a fun/unique surprise – thanks.
While I am here I want to thank you for allllllllllllll of your videos – I have learned a lot and been reminded of techniques that I have not used in a long time.

I like your card! Very creative use of the stamps. I also like some of your favorite things in the release. I also like the balloon dies and the Harlequin die and the hourglass die. I’m into diamonds right now! I look forward to seeing what you do with your new stuff and especially the love languages. That seems hard for me to use.

Darlene, Love your cards and your clear directions, I always look forward to your new works. Before I started watching your videos, I bought an extensive set of Copic markers and now after seeing how they are used, I am missing colors ( a lot ) that would make them blend able . I looked through your site to see if you had a list of blend able trios or your favorite trios. Any chance you could do that, because what I have now is not very useful. Thank you.

That list is located on the My Favorite Things page.

Thank you that was helpful.
