Hi All!
The purpose of Throwback Thursday is to “repurpose” some of the older content, making it new again. With the hundreds of videos, you probably have forgotten or maybe missed some of the old stuff. So, once a month I’m here with a fun reminder.
Today I wanted to highlight a product I haven’t used in awhile… gelatos. I used to get a lot of people asking about gelatos and how to use them, but I haven’t heard too much about them recently. So, maybe it’s time for a throwback-comeback!
This card is actually one of my favorites over the years. It may look familiar because it’s the header on the LiveLoveCards Facebook page!
See the post for details and a video. Have a wonderful day!
Andrea
Assuming I just didn’t forget watching this video, I’m surprised I missed this one when you first did it! I love the way the card came out, Darlene. I recently got the iridescent gelatos (I believe they’re at least fairly new), and love how they look. I also have some metallics and several “regular” colors. I really should get them out and use them more! Thanks for the reminder and the inspiration on this gloomy Thursday (at least, it’s wet & gloomy here)! 🐱 ~ Andrea

Thanks Andrea for bring the irridescent gelatos to my attention. However, I’d think they’d be similar to the metallics. Is that true?
Andrea
They probably are. I haven’t done much with them, but they do have a pearlescent sheen to them in the end result. There seem to be more–or at least different–colors in the iridescent gelatos than the metallics. I could be wrong on that, but I’d recommend checking them out if you’re interested. Sorry I can’t be more helpful! 🐱 ~ Andrea

Thanks Andrea.. It looks like the metallics and iridescence are similar. I’ve seen a set of 15 pastel metallics that will make beautiful soft backgrounds. They will probably be my choice. I have a number of bright colored gelatos and the Pitt artist pens that I use with them. But I don’t have any soft colors.. The iridescents are lovely too. I guess it all boils down to what you have in mind to do with them.

Always loved this card Darlene but have never tried to replicate it. Maybe now is a good time while we’re on Summer holidays Down Under and there’s more time for crafty things.

I really enjoyed this video Darlene. It has reminded me to “get with the program” and use them again. I especially like the metallic gelatos. Lovely card. Thank you
