Hi All!
I using the Oh, Manatee set again. If you missed my first card, you can see it here. These guys are so cute!
I repurposed Ellen Hutson’s Mirror, Mirror die as a submarine window. The front of the card opens to reveal the full manatee and the sentiment:
I used my Oxide inks to create a watercolor background. Here is a close-up:

I love Gerders designs they just warm my heart. The manatee is very cute. Great embossing that porthole really looked metallic. Thanks for the inspiration.

Super cute card! I love how you colored the manatee especially, and such a great idea to use the mirror for a submarine porthole. I don’t think anyone who doesn’t know would guess that that die is not really a porthole! Thanks for the tips about the ultra-thick embossing powder, too. Another tip I’ve heard is to start heating from behind, so the granules begin to melt without being blown away. Since no air is hitting the granules directly, that works. I’m not sure if I’ve done it with the ultra-thick powder, but I can attest that it does work with somewhat-finer-ground powders. Anyway, hope y’all have a great weekend, Darlene! Thanks for the card/video! 😺 ~ Andrea
