Stretching Your Sentiment

Raccoon

Hi All,

I thought it would be fun to use the sentiment as an object. It kind of reminds me of all those school house rock videos (remember “conjunction, junction, what’s your function?”). Anyhoo, you could use any large sentiment stamp or die, and put anything on it… a flower pot, a butterfly, a bird, or in my case, a raccoon!

Since the sentiment is an object, I put it on a tabletop, which I just sketched out with my markers. I tried to keep the rest of the card clean and simple since I had a lot of detail in the focus area.

I added some enamel accents to his eyes to make them pop. Here is a close-up:

Raccoon

By the way, I used this frame set recently on THIS CARD. If you ever want to see a list of cards that use a specific product, just enter that product into the search box at the top of the right margin and hit enter.

Enjoy!

Terri – is it something like “I’m only a bill, sittin’ here on capitol hill…”

Close!!!! I remember that one too….no, it’s the actual “We the people, in order to form a more perfect union”……good memory though!!!

Put similar comment in the Forum too but thought it might get lost there! The Auzz Trinklets website in Australia has 2 of those cute raccoon stamp sets for $19 each with free postage. Thought some of my Aussie friends might want to grab one so they can try to replicate this cute card!

Ha, Ha!!! That School House Rock…..ROCKED!!!! Every time this was on tv. and the girls were watching, I rushed to sing along, such fun!!
And I love, love this little critters, oh my!!! they are so adorable, this little Raccoon looks fabulous standing on that sentiment, what a great idea Darlene.
I’ve been wondering about the Enamel Accents…..how long does this stuff take to dry? Is it like the same as the Crystal Effects or Glitter Glue? It’s a fantastic detail when I see it in cards, some people make them big or small or teeny tiny, they look real pretty.
Thank you for the great idea and another great video.
    Hugs,
    Maria.

Hi Maria! Yes, it’s about the same drying time as the other products you mentioned. It’s very shiny and dark – a great way to add more dimension.

Adorable card!!! Funny how I can use all my old fabric paint for ‘enamel accents’. (I still have a whole box of them. LOL) :b

    Thanks for sharing, Darlene!!
