Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog!

2016 Holiday Catalog

Hi all!

Note: This is the first of THREE posts today, so be sure to check the others!

Today is the first day you can order from the Stampin’ Up! 2016 Holiday Catalog! Can you believe it’s already time to start thinking about the holidays? As usual, I’m going to commit to taking it easy and making it simple. But, we all know that’s a bunch of baloney. One year I’ll actually admit that, but 2016 isn’t it. 🙂

There are A LOT of really cute products in the catalog. So, I have two lists (well, three) – the things I bought and the things I want. The third list contains a few holiday items from the annual catalog that I purchased and really like. I’ve been buying more than I can use lately (anyone else have this problem?). I try to keep in mind that lots of members request that I reuse products frequently. So, I try to exhibit restraint. Here are the two new sets I purchased from the new holiday catalog – I will be using both next week…

The first is called Twinkle Trees:

I love the contemporary look, and those blurry circles are very interesting. This set is great for non-religious holiday cards. I like how you can decorate the tree with the other stamps – a very creative stamp set.

The second is also about trees… Totally Trees:

You can use this set all year long. It’s a great set for straight stamping because it comes with solid stamps for each tree, which you can use to add different colors.

As far as items on my wishlist, the first is the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and matching builder punch:

Is this cute or what? My favorite is the reindeer!

The Cheerful Tags set was so close to being on the purchase list! And now that I’m looking at it again, I’m having non-buyers remorse.

Cheerful Tags

I love how they fold up – you can put a message on the inside instead of putting it on the back.

I also really like the Detailed Santa Dies:

Santa Die

I think this die of Santa would be great for making cards in bulk. Also, those stars and line dies can be used for any kind of card. Here are a couple of examples given in the catalog:

Finally, I really like the Paisleys & Posies stamp set. I don’t understand how it relates to holidays, but I like it nonetheless:

If you’re looking for holiday items that will be around a little longer, I love these items from the annual catalog

I have used the Peaceful Pines stamp set and matching framelit dies on THIS CARD, THIS CARD, THIS CARD, THIS CARD, and THESE TAGS. Yeah, I’d say I like it. 🙂

I also love the Softly Falling and Woodland embossing folders:

Finally, these Embellished Ornaments and Ornament Thinlits, which I just purchased and will hopefully be using soon:

Well, I hope this posts helps you get into the holiday mood – it’ll be here before we know it!

If you don’t already have a demonstrator, please consider purchasing from my friend Michelle’s store. She donates 25% of every purchase to Foster Kids Charity. And now is definitely a time of need for them.

Happy Holidays!

I really like the Paisleys and Posies set. I think that could be used for many occasions and it is different than anything I own.
