I love today. It’s the release day of the new Stampin’ Up! 2017-2018 catalog. I know I lament the retired list and sometimes get a little angry about it, but we wouldn’t get all the new stuff without retiring some of the old stuff. I am placing my order today, so unfortunately I don’t have the products to show you in a video. I will do a haul video when I receive the products. Fortunately, there are more products than I can afford at the moment, so I’ll tell you what I’m ordering today, and then what I have on my wishlist…
We’ve recently seen some animation stamps, so of course Stampin’ Up! has one. What’s interesting is that instead of a stamp on acetate for the grid, it’s a die. I’m excited to try it out:
It’s a little pricey, but it has a bird and a butterfly in the set. You can save 10% by buying the bundle.
Another bundle I think worth buying is the Pocketful of Sunshine:
The denim pocket is so cute, and you could fill it with anything! Exploding hearts, stars, monsters crawling out… there are tons of possibilities. Again, buy the bundle to save 10%.
This next set was introduced in the recent Occasions catalog. I don’t order a lot from the non-annual catalogs for fear that the products will retire within a few months. Now that this set, Happy Celebrations, is in the annual, I’m getting it:
I think this set has a lot of versatility – you can make different cards with the different words, plus the shapes and paint splatters are an added bonus.
Another item from the Occasions catalog that I was waiting on is the watercolor pencils:
The nice thing about these pencils, and this goes for all Stampin’ Up! products, is the color coordination. I’ll try them out and let you know what I think!
There are several new “3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders”. It’s a fancy name, but they are just like the Next Level folders by We R Memory Keepers. I’m getting the Pinewood Planks now, and the Ruffled and Layered Leaves are on my wishlist:
Here are the rest of the items on my wishlist:
Glamper Greetings is another Occasions holdover that I really like:
There are lots of different occasions you could use this set for. I had to look up the word “glamper”.
Another totally adorable one is This Little Piggy:
I love how happy all these pigs are.
I really had to restrain myself from getting Watts of Occasions:
There are so many different occasions you can use this for, and they are so fun!
I also really like the Burlap background stamp:
I think it would be great for a subtle background, plus I like how unique the fringe is.
There are many other stamps I loved, but I didn’t include them on the list because they aren’t as versatile as the ones on my list. I like to buy stamps that I’m pretty sure I will use over and over. I’m hoping that the ones on my list are exactly that.
