Solid to Spectacular

Solid to Spectacular

Hi All,

I made this card with a solid stamp. The one from Flower Patch is pretty large, but you could use this technique with any solid flower stamp. I found a new use for the Stampin’ Up! Chalk Marker – a highlighter. It lays down some really nice, solid white color, plus it absorbs color on top, similar to white pigment ink. As a result, you can create lots of different shades of color (in my case, red). Here is a close-up of the coloring:

Have been organising my stamps today and have several that will work well for this card. Really love the effect you got and the shading around the flower at the end made all the difference.

What a great idea for using those solid background images! Will be trying this one for sure.

    Hi Darlene,
Just a quick tip: You can replace the nip of your Copic Original marker easily. There are several other nibs available for example calligraphy nibs in different widths, also a brush nib like the one that comes with the Copic Sketch marker.
Thanks for all the effort you make to provide us with your nice video tutorials.

I love the mixing of so many brands and types of inks. I want to get a chalk market and try it. I have a chalk pen from another company and it creates residue.
