Hi All!
I’m calling this “Take 2” because I did something similar with the largest Flower Patch flower on THIS CARD. I think it’s easier to get a pretty, dimensional flower by starting with a solid-stamped image than by coloring from scratch. So, even if you’re a beginner, this is an easy look to achieve.
I stamped-off my solid stamps so that I would have a more muted version of the bright Stampin’ Up! colors I love so much. I did a stamping off comparison of various ink brands, in case you missed it.
Here is a close-up of the flower details:
I’m going on a scrapbook retreat this weekend!! I’m down to scrapbooking once a year, on this weekend retreat. And I’m almost exclusively pocket scrapbooking – it’s so much faster and easier! I organized all my photos and printed them – all 1,000 – just from the previous year. I have a lot of work to do! Words cannot express how excited I am about this weekend.
Enjoy the video and have a great weekend, even though it won’t be as good as mine. 🙂

I love the technique you used on this card as well as the way you did the other card earlier with the Flower Patch Stamp Set. I don’t have that set but plan to use my Botanical Blooms set instead.

Oh, I love this card. I love the color combination you used, but I also appreciate all those minute details you added to the flowers. It simple but stunning at the same time. Thanks for sharing, and have fun this weekend!

Gasp! Your small details elevate a favorite stamp. Thanks for your techniques, color combos, overall design aesthetics. Enjoy your weekend!

Have a great weekend, I don’t seem to be able to add to my fav’s maybe it’s because I’m on my MacBook and not my Mac?

As soon as I typed my comment the option to save popped up! sorry

Such a beautiful and vibrant card anyone would be smiling
if they got one in the post.
Have the best weekend and I hope you achieve
your goal for the retreat.

BE YOU {TIFUL} YOU, Darlene!!! Another amazing card and I look forward to trying this technique. Have a wonderful scrapbooking weekend. If you get 1000 pictures done in one weekend it should go in the “Guiness (sp?) Book of Records!!!” Have fun!

1,000 photos!!! OMG! You will be busy this weekend, that’s for sure!! Mine will be close to yours (as a great weekend) because Monday is a holiday so I have 3 days off to make cards!!! Have a wonderful time at your retreat! ?
Andrea
Great card, Darlene! Love the colors you used–bright & happy, but not in-your-face. Good choice to stamp off for your flowers. Have fun at your retreat this weekend! When our now-closed LSS had crop retreats, I never got up the nerve to go. Just the thought of committing to hours of cropping with other people just stressed me out too much. (Yes, I can be very shy!) Hope you get everything accomplished AND have a great time! 🙂 ~ Andrea

Your card is lovely, Darlene. I have not used this set in a while so appreciate your jogging my memory to use it.

I agree, Melanie! The details are wonderful!

What a difference it makes using the Copics & the white gel pen. Absolutely lovely!

What a beautiful card! You used my favorite color, yellow, so that makes it extra special. I love flower stamps and since I won $30 from Altinew in a blog hop I bought 2 flower stamps. I can’t wait to get them so I can play! I love the embellishments you did too. I have to remember to do those when I have flower stamps that have insides like those.
Great job!

I somehow missed the part where you wrote that you were going away to put 1,000 photos in your pocket scrapbook. I think little men in white coats would be arriving to put me away if I tried to do this. HA! HA! I hope you manage to meet the challenge! You must let us know.

I managed to complete 1/2 of what I brought with me. I don’t scrap every single photo that I print – I use probably 50-75% of them. So, I feel pretty successful. 🙂

Love this card, you did a beautiful job. Makes me think of Spring.
Laura
Oh my gosh – I love this card! I don’t have Copic markers. I wonder if I can achieve this look with my stampin up or clean color real brush markers. I think I need to play around and see what I can do! Have you done this technique with any water base markers?
Kylie Adams
I love this card!! I especially love those little grey flowers. Hope you had a great weekend scraping 🙂

What a beautiful card!
Love your colors, coloring and those devine dots!
