Snowflake Paste Repurposed

Fishy Fun

Hi All,

I’ve used the Best Fishes set so much that I decided to buy another fish set – after much thought, I decided on Fishy Fun by Your Next Stamp. As I always say about stamp sets I like… it’s cute but not cutesy.

I also decided to repurpose my Snowflake paste into sand, and it worked great! It’s always nice to find a way to stretch your products. Here is a close-up of the sand and the turtle shell covered with Glossy Accents:

And here is a close-up of the Whimsical Waves background and the fish with the Wink of Stella added:

Enjoy the video!

Wow Darlene, the sand really does dry a lot darker! It still looks realistic though and adds a lot! Love the suttle background too! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

I’m so glad that you used the snowflake paste again. I bought some to use on a Christmas card this year but it didn’t arrive in time. So, now I’ll be sure to use it on this card for the sand. What a great idea. I also liked the glossy accents on the turtle. A few birthdays are coming up for men soon and this card will be perfect to make as well as being something a little different. Exquisite timing once again (smile). Happy 2017 to you too!

This card is adorable! I love all the little details, especially the “sand” paste and glossy accents. Now I really want that stamp set!

I love this and have a jar of some sand goop that I used on a beach album, but yours is neat! Love these cards that have that extra something going on, like the donuts card.
    Thanks for a great video.

This is so cute! And you’re right–not cutesy. (I’m not a big fan of cutesy, either!) Love the colors you used on your fish & turtle. Hope Courtney is doing better again, & y’all have a wonderful New Year’s! 🙂 ~ Andrea

I love that you find different ways to use tools/items other than their original purpose. Can’t wait to go make some sand!
