Simple Sheltering Tree

Simple Sheltering Tree

Hi All!

First, I want to say thank you to everyone who commented on my Monday post. I was surprised by how many people share my struggle, but I wasn’t surprised by the love and support that everyone showed – I already knew you are all wonderful people and I am lucky to know you. 🙂

I know the November Kraft challenge is over, but I had to do another card! I seriously love this neutral paper. I threw in a splash of color with a little red ornament. I used Sheltering Tree by Stampin’ Up! It’s one of those classic sets, in my opinion. I’ve used it on this card, this card, this card, this card, and this card. I have gotten a lot of use out of it! Here is a close-up:

Some people don’t care for the textured look of the stamp. I personally kind of like it because it lets some color beneath show through.

With the MISTI, it would be super easy to make a lot of these cards at once. Enjoy the video!

What a great way to use the Sheltering Tree stamp set for a Christmas card. Just when I thought I’d got all my Christmas cards lined up, I just might have to CASE this card as well! Ha! Ha! Whatever will we do without you, Darlene?!

Love the bright, sparkly touch of red of the Christmas Ornament “hanging” from this beautiful tree, awesome way to use this set for a Holiday card.
I must get some of that white embossing powder, the one I have looks a bit off white after it’s heat embossed.
    Thank you for sharing.
    XO

Wow, Darlene, you have just given me the incentive to make my Christmas cards for this year as I have struggled with the idea of Christmas. I love this card and I have that stamp set. Thank you so much. Must go get a move on as time is running out. Much love. Glenis
