Simple Garden in Bloom

Garden in Bloom

Hi All!

It seems like I hardly ever make a card with just simple stamping. That was my goal for today’s card. As you know, I can be kind of particular about the details, so I think this is as close as I’m going to get. 🙂

I used Stampin’ Up! inks because their stamping-off capability is fantastic. You literally get two different colors that match perfectly together (you can see my stamp-off comparison HERE). So, each flower was stamped with one ink color.

I used one of the new sets called Garden in Bloom. This set has layering stamps that are really easy to use. One of the reasons why it’s easy is that the style is imperfect. So, if you don’t line them up exactly, it still looks great.

Also, a reminder that today is the last day to enter the July Masking Challenge! I will select a random winner and announce it tomorrow. Good luck and have a great weekend!

I would’ve never thought to use crumb cake ink for a flower – I love how it turned out! Thanks for sharing!

Love it! My kinda card. I have to admit, I didn’t understand the arrow part on the stamps but that’s ok. I don’t have that set anyway. Lol!

Hi Darlene, I love all your cards but this type of card today is one of my very favourites – simple and clean. I broke down and ordered SU Watercolour Wings and SSS Artful Flowers. But I have a CTMH stamp set that is almost identical to SU Garden in Bloom, so will go with that one first for this card. SU Butterfly Basics and SU Papillon Potpourri are 2 of my favourite stamp sets. Can’t recall you making a card with Butterfly Basics. Could you please make one soon? Thanks!

Thanks for showcasing this stamp set. I just purchased it and love it. And you gave me some great ideas. Still have some trouble with those arrows, but watching you really helps. Looks like I’m not the only one who liked those dots either. Lovely card!!
