Hi All!
I’m already preempting the November challenge with a holiday card. I just can’t help myself – I love making Christmas cards! Today’s card is one that you can repeat pretty easily via assembly line. So, if you make cards in bulk over the holidays, this design is a good one to use.
Here is a close-up of the ornaments, where you can see the dimension created by the two colors:
I used the Stampin’ Up! Embellished Ornaments set and matching dies. Such a beautiful set! Enjoy the video!

Gorgeous card. I love it. Thanks Darlene.

Darlene, what a beautiful card! I love that it’s simple but doesn’t necessarily look simple (the different shades of ink, for example).
Thanks for sharing!

Very nice– and the colors are so pretty! And your musical “soundtrack” gets us right in the spirit! <3

That is beautiful! I love those blues. Are you going to start showing us inside of cards too? I have a harder time figuring out what to put on the inside than I do the outside! Thanks for sharing with us! Christmas cards are MY FAVORITE!!!!
Cheryl
Love that set! I made my cards with them last year. And of course I love your card?
Tammy

Very beautiful!

Love the pairing of those two blue inks–perfect for the rock ‘n’ roll technique! I’ve tried that technique, but I think I need more practice to get such good results as you have here. Great card design as well, & I love the overall color scheme. 🙂 ~ Andrea

Beautiful card Darlene! I am in 2 craft local shows in November and I have 178 christmas cards already made (need 200) so you have just given me the idea for some of the 22 cards I have left to make! Picking one for the November challenge is going to be….challenging! I will have to get my husband to pick! ?

Wow Carol! I can’t believe you’ve made so many cards. You are to be congratula
Connie
ted!! LOL ?

Thanks Connie, but I start in July so it doesn’t seem like so much.

Darlene, this card is simple and elegant. But it doesn’t look at all easy to achieve. I’m going to try this technique and see how I go. I doubt I’ll achieve the effect you have gotten without lots of practice!

Lovely card Darlene!

Just love those ornaments and it’s sad, but I never think of using the rolling technique!! LOL Maybe I need to make myself a sort of cheat sheet to remind me of stuff like this. Thanks for sharing this beautiful card. It’s really simple and would be quite easy to do for a bunch of Christmas cards. I like that!! =)

Beautiful card Darlene! Love the special touch on the inside. When you use the rock and roll method is is safe to assume that the second ink pad you use does not take the first color from the stamp and ruin your pad?
Thanks so much. Can’t wait till the holiday card!!

You might get a little bit on there, but I don’t think it will be a big deal – I’ve done it many times and haven’t noticed any issues. However, I always start light and roll darker.

So pretty! And as always creative! Thank you! Julie
