Return of the Toilet Paper

Petal Burst

Hi All,

When I bought this embossing folder, I knew I had to use it with toilet paper. If you remember, I used toilet paper during the Homemade Techniques series. It’s easy and the results are beautiful. Here is a close-up of the embossed area:

Fun to see the TP back! It didn’t work well when I tried it, I will have to try again.

I have a roll of tape very similar to the silver one you used. I bought it at Michaels about 4 years ago on clearance, it was Ranger brand.

I like this idea. I used to get embossing folders from Hot Off the Press each month and one of their ideas was with toilet paper. I never tried it. Maybe I will, especially since you are showing how easy it is. I like the tape you used.

Wow what a wonderful finish you have with this toilet paper!! I’ve got to try this – I remember the trees that you did and I loved them. This would be so good for the touchablility of the card. Thanks for showing us how easy to do and giving the tips so we can have success the first time. Really like the silver tape border too.

Oh my gosh…this is so cool!!! I immediately tried it tonight, and it worked! I don’t know how I got so lucky on the first try! I used a “clouds” embossing folder, which was perfect for this technique!!! I wish I could post a picture here for you to see it!!

Love this card. The black and white makes it very dramatic. And that silver tape just sets it off well. I must try it soon when I’m back to card making again! Won’t be long now!!!

I just love this card. I have been meaning to try this technique and this is the one to do. So pretty. Plus every time I hear Darlene say toilet paper I laugh. I love bathroom humor. I have the brain of a 12 year old boy sometimes.

Love this card. I think this card is very elegant. It’s kinda weird describing a card made with toilet paper as elegant!!! Thanks Darlene

What a beautiful card! And you explain and show each of the steps so clearly and in such detail! Thank you!
