Quick and Easy Holiday Cards

Quick and Easy Card

Hi All!

Wow, we’re getting closer and closer to Christmas! I can’t wait for Christmas Break… I’m in the middle of finals right now. Today I thought I would make a card that could easily be put together for those of you who don’t have a lot of time to spend on cards this year. I created a burgundy card and a black card. I think it would also look good in a dark purple – any warm/rich color to coordinate with gold will work. Or, if you have silver paper, use a dark blue. Here is the black card:

As you know, I love using black on my cards, so my preference would be the black one. Enjoy the video!

WOW, for once I’m awake and up when your video came in YIPEEEEE (its just a little after 5am 13th December here in Brisbane Australia).

I really love love love this card Darlene, it just looks kinda regal to me. Especially those colours together just look amazing I can see a green and gold would look wonderful too.
Thank you for your wonderful inspiration and have a very Merry Christmas xx

Love this card design. I made one already this morning for a Black and White challenge on Stamp TV. I really like the gold. I may give it a try again with gold. Thanks for the inspiration and such an easy card that can look elegant.

I love the simplistic elegance of this card. You really could make lots of these in a short amount of time. I think the black one is awesome. Excellent once again, Darlene!

I personally prefer the burgundy one. I love the simplicity of the design, and the colors are so rich & elegant together. I’m nearing the end of making my holiday cards–FINALLY!!!! I think I only have 9 more to go, assuming my counting & math skills are correct. I can do this! LOL My first goal for completion was actually yesterday. Now it’s whenever I can get them done. Thankfully, I found some premade toppers that I’d gotten last year as a “free gift” with a magazine, that I’m using for the final cards. Anyway, I hope you’re having a wonderful week, Darlene! Good luck with your exams! 🐱 ~ Andrea

Yes I agree Dayse. It does look regal. Love the card Darlene. A great way to use the Snowflakes and yes very simple for those last minute cards. Thanks for the idea.

Just posted off my last Christmas cards for the year yesterday before this card design cane in. It would be a great card to make for those last minute card makers as well as for newbies to the hobby with few supplies. I think the burgundy and gold is my favourite. Sorry but black and gold just doesn’t say Christmas to me. I’m sure you won’t need any luck with your exams. You are sure to do well without it!

Thanks for reminding me that simple can still be really elegant and pack a wow. I always feel like my simple cards are too “blah.” But this is lovely. I like the merlot, tho’. 🙂

Love this card Darlene. I love the simplicity and elegance. I will be using this one to finish off the making of this year’s cards. I have struggled with the making of them this year. All the best with your final exams. I am sure you will manage a great result. hugs, Glenis
