Hi All,
I’m slowly but surely working my way through my new Stampin’ Up! products! Today’s card uses the Pocketful of Sunshine bundle. I love this pocket because you can fill it with anything you want. It die cuts with scorelines so that it lifts off the card to fill it.
I used it with the sun from the Spring Showers die set because I love the detailed stitching on this sun. However, you could use the sun that comes with the die set. I used iridescent ice embossing powder by Stampin’ Up!, but it has since retired. Judikins Iridescent Sparkle is a comparable product. Here is a close-up:

You have a gift for coming up with good designs consistently. When you showed us the Pocketful of Sunshine bundle as one of your Stampin Up purchases, I wasn’t all that impressed. Now that I’ve seen it used on this card, I’m impressed. You really have a knack for looking at stamps and visualising lots of possibilities.

Thank you Connie!

Me too!! you indeed have the gift of seeing far ahead with certain products, this one is a great example.
Love the look of denim on the pocket and the bright sun coming out of it just looks amazing.
I don’t understand why SU retires products like the Iridescent Ice embossing powder, I’m lucky I have two containers and the one that’s open still has a lot, it goes a long way.
Thank you for another fabulous card and video, Darlene.
Hugs,
Maria.
PS. I just sent my payment for the two stamp sets I bought from you, can’t wait till they get here, thank you.

I know…SU retired Crystal Effects!!! I know they have to retire some things, but CE, the 2-way glue pen and Irridecent ice EP were staples (I think). Good thing there is SSS! 😎

Very cute card Darlene. This set had caught my eye too, but I didn’t buy it. Love it! Hugs, Brenda

You almost need sunglasses with the bright colors on this card! LOL Love the simple design, AND the colors. I think the word you were looking for with the circles you embossed with silver is rivets. That’s what it looked like to me, anyway, particularly since it’s going on a pocket. I think this pocket would look good die cut from cardstock that’s been inked, say with Faded Jeans Distress ink, & stamped with a denim background stamp tone-on-tone for visual texture. Or maybe out of patterned paper, like it’s from a fancy blouse. So many possibilities! Can’t wait to see what else you come up with, Darlene! 🙂 ~ Andrea

I love the simplicity of this card, Darlene. Home run again!

This card reminds me of a pair of jeans I have with patches all over them. Of course your card has my favorite color in it, yellow. We don’t use enough yellow in our cards and I, for one, am going to put an end to that! LOL I love how colorful your card is and it does remind me of my 60’s jeans. I love it! You are so creative!
