Hi All!
I picked up a couple of containers of Nuvo Mousse – lemon sorbet and pink peony. They looked interesting so I thought I would try them out. I got them at Ellen Hutson, and she’s having 15% off everything through tomorrow (code summerfun), so bonus if you’re interested in getting some!
They are very shimmery and work great with stencils – especially on dark cardstock. I used the mousses with stencils today. Here is the first card I made with a butterfly stencil (the card I create in the video):
Here is a close-up view of the mousse:
The butterfly stencil I used is one I’ve had for probably 10 years. I gave a few other options in the supply list below.
I created another card with the Star Medallion stencil, using the pink peony on white cardstock:
It’s so pretty! Here is a close-up of the mousse:
Finally, a card using the lemon sorbet on black using the Altenew Medallion B Stencil:
You can see how smooth the finish is:
Enjoy the video!

How ironical, Darlene. I can’t believe you actually made a card today using Nuvo Mousse. For the past few days I’ve been deliberating over which 2 colours to sample of this product. Until now, I just haven’t been able to make up my mind. I tend to go with cool colours such as blues and silvers. But, I love the pink and lemon sorbet colour combination. So now I know which colours to buy (smile). And using the Clear butterfly stencil on black card-stock is really gorgeous. This has got to be a must-do card! Thanks so much for sharing it!

I love all three cards and like Connie the Lemon Mousse and Pink Mousse are just gorgeous. I thought that the mousse worked really well on the white and the black card stock. Well Darlene you have done it again.thanks

These cards are stunning Darlene! I am loving the lemon and pink mousse you used, they remind me of “ink gold” pots as they are creamy like that but thick. I love too that they look so beautiful on the black card stock. More things that I think I HAVE to have. lol Hugs, Brenda

I’ve been wondering about this mousse. I’ve seen it advertised but this is the first time I’ve seen it used. Will definitely put it on my shopping list.

I’ve also been curious about the mousse. I’ve seen it used in a few videos on YouTube, and saw them for sale at the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington yesterday, but I’m still on the fence, mostly because I’m not sure how I would store them. The precision tip on your bottle looks like one Jennifer McGuire recommended, so I went searching for it. It’s probably an older version of the Darice Ultrafine Tip Applicator Bottles. They’re at Simon Says Stamp, though they won’t ship until July 1. You can find them here: https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Darice-ULTRAFINE-TIP-Applicator-Bottles-Set-of-4-97908-D97908?currency=USD, in case anyone is interested. I love the colors you used in your cards! The mousse really pops against the black especially. I’m sure it looks even better in real life. Thanks for sharing these! 🙂 ~ Andrea

Hi Andrea, I’ve seen Jennifer McGuire also use this fine tip applicator. https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Quilled-Creations-PRECISION-TIP-Empty-Applicator-Bottle-317-317QC It is great because all you have to do is take off the lid on the empty plastic bottle and put it on the Multi Medium Matte. It fits perfectly on it.

These cards are very elegant, those colours against the black are just stunning. Thanks for the mousse inspiration

Loving this sweet and beautiful colors, never heard of this product but now you got me curious, looks easy enough and the result is amazing.
I like the look of the muse on the black card stock more than the lighter one, the darker ones really shows off the colors of this product.
Beautiful cards, Darlene, thank you for introducing this new product to us.
Hugs,
Maria.

These are AMAZING. I just got some Faber Castell texture luxe in a tub and a Heidi Swapp tube of mint metallic texture paste to use with my stencils. These are perfect inspiration. Helpful to get technique tips as always. Thanks.
