The November challenge starts today! Leaves, leaves, leaves. Or leaf, if that’s your preference. π
You can find my last two notable leaf cards here and here.
The last day to submit your entry is Thursday, November 30th, 11:59pm CT. One random winner will be selected from all entries and announced on Friday, December 1st.
The giveaway will be a $25 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp, one of my favorite stores!
Okay, just to recap the main rules:
Your entry must incorporate leaves.
You can submit as many entries as you like! However, please submit only one entry per card.
After submitting your entry, leave a comment on the entry just before yours.
Leave more comments on entries, if you’re so inclined. π
To be eligible for a prize, you must be an active member of LiveLoveCards at the time the winner is announced and your card must have been made in the current month.
I used Newton's Nook stamps to make my "Autumn Scene" π Lots of masking, but it was fun to make.
For Everything Thanksgiving
Welcome Autumn
I made this for one of my Design Team submissions, the adorable fox is from Sunsational Stamps and the tree and leaves are a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
Color my world - leaves
My first attempt at submitting one of my cards "ever" π
Watercolor leaves
Design from a video by Kelly Latevola for Neat and Tangled. I donβt have the stamps, so I traced around real leaves with an embossing pen. I donβt have the stencil, so I used some Post-it tape cut in a curvy shape. Sentiment is hand lettered. On a Strathmore 5 X 7 watercolor paper card using Distress Ink for the background and Peerless watercolors for the leaves.

More watercolor leaves
Same technique as the card uploaded earlier
birch trees
I used gilding flakes to create the illusion of fall leaves in the background. The birch trees were diecut 2x. 1 black and one cream, then slightly offset when layered to create shadows and dimension.
Fall leaves
Sentiment is from a Wplus 9 set.

Cut it Out, inside.JPG
This card came from a challenge on Stamp TV where you were to cut a die from the front panel and use it inside. I colored the leaves I die cut, with Inktense Pencils. Before painting with the Inktense, I used Versamark and Dye Ink and clear embossing powder. The stamps, dies, ink and paper are all from Gina K Designs, Stitched Leaves kit.
Fall Birthday Card
"Stained glass" leaf in center -- colored leaf under gold embossed acetate. The other leaves die cut from Lawn Fawn's small stitched leaves die set.
Thanksgiving card 1
A simple thanksgiving card.
Grateful
I made this card using an edge punch that I wait all year long to get a chance to use! I love Autumn!
with Gratitude
I used the embossing folder "Woodland textured impressions" by Sizzix as the background, then lightly went over the embossed panel with a finger dauber with brown ink.
,
Grateful
May I enter just one more? This is my favorite of them all. the background is a woodgrain embossing folder by Tim Holtz.
Leaves of support
We call it Autumn here in Australia but no matter the name the
Way it feels and looks is beautiful.
My message of support using some autumn colours
Fall leaves
Used fireworks for leaves. Embellished with gold stickles.
Hero Arts leaves
I've had this set of stamps for quite some time and this is the first time I've made a card with them. I stamped them on W/Color paper using masking technique, with versamark, then embossed with gold EP. Colored the panel with inktense pencils. Added white spots for accents and wink of stella. Fussy cut around leaves and adhered with double sided tape on card base which I sponged with pastels for cloud effect. Added the sentiment cut 4 times, with the top in glitter paper. Adhered gold rhinestones. Thanks for looking!
So very grateful
I used the same hero arts stamps as photo #22 plus one small leaf from the SU! fabulous florets. Stamped on W/color paper, with versamark ink, embossed with white EP. I watercolored the panel with some distress inks, some inktense pencils and a tiny bit of my brand new gansai tambi set. I added wink of stella on the leaves. The sentiment is white embossed. Thanks for looking!
Gift Card Box
I made these for my grand-daughters teacher. It contained a gift card.
Gift Card Box 2
Sentiment cut on electronic cutter, leaves stamped and embossed colored with water color markers.
Fall Blessings.JPG
I used a set from Gina K Designs called The Simple Things to emboss the leaves. I colored the back of the vellum with Memento and SU markers. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. The word "Blessings" is a PS die called Blessings. The word "Fall" is created with the PS Alphadots set. The words "to" and "you" were created from PS Kindness Sampler where I masked the rest of the sentiment.
Maria Rodriguez
Water colored with SU markers and an aqua painter. Stamp set from SU called "Gently Falling", retired.
ferns
Fern leaves were diecut from patterned papers then layered over a lightly inked embossed background.
Old fashioned Santa
Took me long time to do this card - I wanted the Santa to look old, vintage, nostalgic. So I stamped-off his image (Rubber Stampedeβs Santa Collage) in black, then stamped around him with Stampendous Dream Text in SUβs Going Gray and Stampbilities Joyful Christmas Note, in SUβs More Mustard. I then distressed the edge with a Fiskars paper edger, and sponge some More Mustard around the edge. I added the ribbon across the upper left corner, with a knot in the middle. I then adhered this card to some yellowish patterned paper, then a grey and finally a red. I then die cut some holly LEAVES and used stickles to add βsnowβ look and added some round berries. I put Glossy accents on his glasses, and added some more stickles on the snow flakes around him, as well as just a little color to his cheeks, nose and mouth!
Foil Christmas card
I donβt normally post more than 1 Card but I loved how this card turned out and when I saw it had leaves I had to post it!
Autumn
House Mouse says Happy autumn! Colored with Zig Clean Color Brush watercolors with a little shimmer on the leave.
Sending You Blessings
Not quite sure where I'll send this card yet, but hopefully the recipient will like it! π
Maria Rodriguez
Card made with retired SU set called "Scene in a Garden", die cut leaves are done with an Impression Obsession die set.
Maria Rodriguez
Card made with Lili of the Valley pattern paper. Unfortunately all of this series and collections were discontinued some 2 years ago.
Blessings
Grateful
Distress Oxide background. Overstamping with Catherine Pooler Inks and Hero Arts Inks.

Fall cards using alcohol ink back grounds
It's your Day
The other morning we woke up to a completely pink sky. It was a gorgeous sunrise and I tried to re-create it in this background. I'm a little challenged when it comes to heat embossing, so to rescue my card from complete failure, I used a circle die and cut off the unwanted portion. I used a new set of stamps from Close To My Heart. Masked the leaf stamp. I used gansai tambi w/colors to do the background. Heat embossed the leaves with gold EP and colored with zig markers. Stamped the sentiment with versamark ink and heat embossed with gold EP. Mounted the panel with double sided tape.
Leaves
Dry embossed background with woodgrain, inked with distress ink, leave heat embossed over watercolor background, stamped sentiment with various fonts of hello!
Great fall card, Darlene! I especially love the colors you chose. I’ve been so intensely making holiday/Christmas cards lately that seeing a fall card is almost a shock! LOL It’s like, oh yeah–it’s still fall!!! Anyway, I look forward to participating in this challenge. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creation, & for having these monthly challenges! π ~ Andrea

Colorful Card Maker
I just got some new fall stamps and I had one or 2 already so I can do this! Now if I can just find the time to do this while making all my Christmas cards and doing other things. I feel like I need more time to do things so maybe I shouldn’t sleep, right? LOL I love what you did with your card. The colors are spot on! I might do this too or maybe I will go out of the box and put glitter or bold colors on mine. Who knows?
I just made baby girl cards for my aunt whose a great grandmother and for my cousin whose a grandmother. They get mailed tomorrow. I didn’t do any stamping except for the sentiment on the inside of the card and my name on the back. I used all stickers and I love how they came out.
Thanks for showing us your card. I love it!
