Hi All,
Finally, the day is here. Wow, it has been a very long road, but I couldn’t be happier with how things turned out. I really hope you don’t get bored watching this video! I tried to make it as short as I could, but there’s a lot to cover.
If you want to reminisce about the construction of this room, you can review all my progress posts.
To get more detail on different areas of the room, you can review all the videos in my Craft Room Storage Series.
You’ll find the video at the end of this post if you want to jump to it. One thing I forgot to mention is the size of the room. It’s 13 ft x 15 ft. I also took some photos…
Here is the main craft table – an island in the middle of the room:
As I work at the craft table (almost always standing), I can simply turn around to access everything on this back counter:
When I’m not crafting, I’m editting videos and writing posts, which I do at my desk:
And every once in awhile (okay, a lot), I like to relax in my sitting area by the windows:
On the other side of the room is the counter with a sink:
Of course I had to include a few close-ups of my favorite part of the room, the fixture. Here is the fixture off:
And here it is on:
The crystals are beautiful. Here is one up close:
Finally, I took a photo in the morning when the sun is at its brightest. I can’t even see my computer screen in the morning, lol! That’s why I had to install all the shades:
One more thing before the video. I use a lot of US Acrylic trays in my room, and they have generously offered 20% off all their essential organizers on Amazon, now through June 17th (use code LLCPROMO at checkout). You’ll find all the links you need below.
And now for the video. Enjoy!!

Love your Craft Room and you surely deserve it. Thank you for all your time.
I did not receive an email of this video. I clicked on home while checking out one of the older videos and found this – sure glad I did.
Thank you again for all you do.

Awesome Darlene, you waited so long and finally you can enjoy this fabulous craft room. Everything is so functional and within your reach, love the cabinets and counter tops, there is a place for everything and everything in it’s place.
I think my favorite feature is that gorgeous light fixture, it’s a fantastic detail.
Thank you for sharing.
Hugs,
Maria.

Just Awesome! I love your chairs where you can sit and read or think or whatever. That is probably where I would be found, looking out the window. Love how everything is so organized, including the closet. Thanks for showing the detail of how this works for you.

A great video Darlene. Loved all the information. No matter what our personal creative space is, I think it should be functional AND pretty. Your new room certainly is both. I loved that you showed the box labeled “cards received”. I have a tiny space in your new room! Thanks again.

Thanks for doing this video for us Darlene. It is the MOST BEAUTIFUL craft room I have ever seen. You must be loving it immensely. It’s also given me lots of ideas for organizing my craftroom which is only half the size of yours but I see lots of solutions for making more room. I wish you years & years of happy, healthy crafting in your wonderful space.
Cheryl
What a beautiful room! Lots of storage and work space. Thx for sharing with us.

Thank you for sharing your craft room! I loved seeing everything! Do you keep you craft room pretty neat all the time? It’s nice you have a place to keep everything organized.
Darlene DeVries
Well, kind of. I try to periodically organize everything. Maybe once every 2-3 weeks I’ll try to put everything back into its place. Then it gets messed up again almost immediately. 🙂

Gorgeous as well as practical. What a great job you did designing this space!
Thank you for sharing this video and the links for purchasing supplies.
Enjoy your craft room!

Love what you’ve done! Do you think you could share some photos or video of what it looks like when you are making a card? Several times you said you do not have everything in cabinets or drawers when you are crafting. I expect most of our spaces look very used…in a loving way.
Darlene DeVries
Yes, in a loving way! 🙂 I will take a photo when it’s a mess and share sometime soon.
Connie
Thank you for such a well organised and informational tour of your new craft room. You really can see the time and effort it took to put it together. Very well done! It really is so lovely and makes creating so much easier with everything at your fingertips. I also noticed your little Quiet Time area with bible. This space would be an important part of the room too for you. If I had this room, that’s where I’d begin each day!
Lizzie
OMGoodness!!! This is a dream room for sure! You’ve done a fantastic job of organizing and designing. So very happy for you, I know how I’d feel if I had a room like that. Hugs to you Darlene

Congratulations Darlene! What a beautiful organized functional room. It shows all your thoughts and planning that went into this. Enjoy crafting and relaxing in your new place. Thanks again for sharing. Anita
Lee
Hi Darlene, I have a question please.
Would the Multi-Level Premium Quality Plastic Nail Polish Organizer that you are using for your distress ink pads work for wood stamps? I can’t quite tell if the individual rows are deep enough for them or not since the thickness is just a little more than the distress ink pads. I have a very small crafting room (more like craft/office/music instrument/dvd storage room) and I’m trying to find a better way to display my wood stamps so I won’t keep forgetting to use them.
Thanks so much for sharing your room with us, it’s beautiful!
Lee
Oh my goodness how fun is this! I just checked Amazon again today and noticed they updated their pictures for the nail polisher holder (Darlene’s distress ink pad holder). Not only does it show that you can store wood stamps in it it also shows you can store distress ink pads by having two of Darlene’s photos on the page! Wow!
Darlene DeVries
Hi Lee. Yes! I just tested it and all my wood block stamps fit in there. A great idea!
US Acrylic LLC
The depth of each of the ‘spaces’ is approximately 1-3/8″, hope that helps! And yes, we did ask Darlene’s permission to use her photos on the listing, it was one of her wonderful subscribers that clued us in to how she was using the product!
Amy
Darlene…it looks really fabulous!!! I am green with envy over the amount of space and that you have a sink in your craft room!! I just love the white and black and gray color…it looks so neat and clean. You must be so happy with it. I love the white island and I LOVE LOVE the light fixture about it. It’s SOOOO pretty!!! Thanks so much for giving us all a tour and sharing all your organizing supplies. You have a beautiful room and boy do you deserve it!!! Congratulations!!
Andrea
Darlene, I LOVE your new craft room!!! I am truly amazed you were able to design all the cabinets & drawers to fit what you have, with room left over. I don’t know that I could look at a bunch of supplies and organize and figure out how much space to allocate for each category. I’m OK making things fit into existing spaces, but coming up with a new space–wow! Thanks for sharing the culmination of your long project. 🙂 ~ Andrea

Great tour… and I love your organizational tips. Looks very cozy!
Anita
Congratulations! What a tremendous sense of accomplishment to finally see it all working together. It’s a fairy tale craft room. Thanks so much for sharing every single detail. It feels like we’ve been there with you, watching you craft : )
craftyzoey
Awesome design and layout!!
Caly
LOVE your craft space, Darlene! I think you should do another craftroom share like you did last year – I’d love to see how other’s rooms are currently designed too. I have moved as well and I’m sure others’ rooms/spaces may be completely different than they were a year ago. How fun would that be to see the change?
SandraMaria
Great idea! I’m moving this weekend and will have a new craftroom set up in the near future!! =)
SandraMaria
Amazing video, thank you so much!!! Was nice to take a break from the chaos here at home. The good news is that we are supposed to be signing our closing docs tomorrow and moving this weekend. YAY!!!!
Sorry to hear that Rebecca has had a relapse, will keep her and her family in my prayers.
The Rubik’s cube was my favorite toy as a kid too and I still keep a Rubik’s keychain on my desk!! LOL We have so much in common it’s not even funny!! HAHA
When I start getting my new craftroom organized I’m going to steal a couple of your organization ideas. I need to make a trip to the Container Store and IKEA!!! Btw, it’s kewl that you have a pocket door for your craftroom. I think all craftrooms need one because the door does always seem to be in the way. Our new house does not have any pocket doors, but the house we are moving out of does in the kitchen….why, I have no idea, we always left it open. I had removed my craftroom door and put it up in the rafters in the garage. LOL In the new house, I’m leaving the door attached.
Anyway, I need to get just a few misc boxes packed. It seems like this will never end but I know we are at the end of this process and then I can start getting caught up…you would not believe how many emails I have to go through. Ugh.
Thanks again for this video. I have been looking forward to it for a long time. It’s such a beautiful room!! What did you do with your big KALLAX shelving unit from IKEA? I still think the pattened paper you used for the backing board was a fantastic idea. =)
Darlene DeVries
Hi Sandra. Good luck with your move! Hope it all goes smoothly. As far as my Ikea shelves, they are currently in the garage. With that patterned paper in the back, it certainly makes the garage much more cheerful! Not sure if they will stay there permanently – we are still organizing the rest of the house.
Vee
Hi dear Darlene! Thank you very much for letting me visit you! The get-together was most enjoyable and all I missed was a nice cup of coffee!
Your super video was like being there with you in your lovely spacious and beautiful craft room…… So organised and functional! Thank you for your tour – it was amazing!
I wish you many, many happy hours and days in your sanctuary and look forward to sharing lots of happy times with you. May God bless you and your family……
Elodie
Hello. I just watched the video of your scraproom and wanted to know where you bought the big central office please?
darlene
Hi Elodie. Do you mean the center island? It’s actually built in as part of the room.
