Hi All!
Today I’m using my Distress Oxide inks on one of the beautiful feather stamps in this new Golden Feather set by Altenew. Because the Oxide inks layer on top of each other, rather than blending with one other, it’s easy to preserve multiple colors on a stamp. I clear-embossed the feather to give it a nice finish. Here is a close-up:

I love your clean and simple cards and this one is no exception. I also agree that the other card with the picked raspberry and background stamp did not work as well. The background was too distracting and the colour combo didn’t seem to be as soothing. But we live and learn through experimentation and and sometimes our experiments can produce something really special too.

Oh, Darlene, this card is BEAUTIFUL!!!! When I saw the still photo (before I watched the video), I just “ooohed” at the jewel tones in the feather. I think the clear embossing accentuates the colors and just makes them even more vivid. Gorgeous! I agree with you & Connie–the other card’s background just doesn’t work quite as well with this design. But I really, really love this card! I am sure whoever gets it will treasure it (at least, they’d better! LOL). 🐱 ~ Andrea

This is a lovely card. Thank you for the advice about the Distress Oxide Inks and how they lay on top of one another. I hadn’t realized that. I’ll have to play with my feather stamp now.

Another beauty to add to my favorites. I am already thinking of this technique with other stamps. This also convinced me to purchase a few of the oxide inks. I am trying not to over buy but we need a few options right lol! Thanks again for sharing Darlene. Happy holidays to you and your family!
