Hi All!
I’ve been meaning to use these two sets together – Page Huggers and Pocketful of Sunshine. I think any of these critters would be adorable coming out of the pocket! I chose the mouse because I haven’t done a card with him yet (I’ve used the bunny here and here and the bear here), and I thought he would look cute with glasses.
I also used the other turnabout stamp I told you I purchased awhile back – the Sunshine Turnabout. I didn’t go over much detail about using this type of stamp in the video. For more detail, check out this post.
Here is a close-up of this little guy:
Enjoy the video!

I keep forgetting to use the page hugger stamp set. All the animals are so cute in it, especially this mouse. I loved the colours you chose for the sunray – so cheerful. A really cute card.

Totally adorable Darlene, this little animals and the Pocket Full of Sunshine is the perfect combination.
Love how you created the awesome jean color, it looks like the real thing.
Thank you for a sweet video.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.

I love this card!! I definitely need the pocket stamp set. I have the page huggers, and really like the cuteness
factor that the glasses add. Thanks for the video, Darlene!

This card is so dang cute! I seem to have a vague memory of a book or story about a mouse in a pocket. Don’t know for sure, but if there isn’t, there should be, and your card would be perfect for the cover! 🙂 Love how you made the “denim” pocket with the ink–I thought at first it was a texture stamp. Your way is so much easier (& less expensive! LOL). Hope you are having a great week! 🙂 ~ Andrea

Are you thinking of “If you give a mouse a cookie…”? I read that book to my kids dozens of times.
Andrea
I had that thought, too. But I think I may be combining that book title with an old song (I think from the 1940s or 1950s?) about putting a star in your pocket. Sorry, but I can’t think of the name of the song right now. And no, I don’t remember the song from when it was popular! LOL My parents are from that era, and my dad used to play that music a lot when he was alive. Anyway, there you go! 🙂 ~ Andrea

When my mom couldn’t remember the song, I finally googled it! It was “Catch a Falling Star” by Perry Como, released in 1957. I feel better now. 🙂 ~ Andrea

Adorable! I didn’t get the pocket from Stampin Up, but now I see possibilities. Your mouse peeking out is what sells the whole card. Absolutely adorable!

where did you get the sentiment?
darlene
Hi Teresa. It’s from the Simon Says Stamp My Sunshine set. I forgot to link it in the supplies. When I went to link it, I found out that they don’t sell it anymore. 🙁 I hate when that happens!

That’s okay. Do love your creativity. Was wondering if “Stuart Little” by E.B. White was the little mouse in the pocket vague memory discussed. It was first published in 1945. E.B. White also wrote “Charlotte’s Web.”

This is a very cute card Darlene. I love mice critters and the pocket just finishes the card off. Thanks Darlene.

OMGosh!! I love this card, just trying to figure out how I could get some sunshine rays without having to buy this stamp, as it is one I wouldn’t use all that often. So darn cute. I need to work on an idea for this card with a personal twist. Thanks for the inspiration Darlene. Can’t wait to try this.
