Mondo Sakura

Mondo Sakura

Hi All!

This stamp set was just released by Ellen Hutson – I love the flowers! They are great for coloring. I cut around the flowers of the card to give it a more creative edge. Here is the card opened:

Mondo Sakura

I colored the flowers with Copic markers, then I added a little more detail with a darker colored pencil. Here is a close-up of the coloring:

Wow stunning, the colours are just gorgeous and that black strip on the edge really pops the flowers.
Love watching this come to life.

You come up with the neatest ideas, Darlene! Having the flowers hanging off the edge makes it so striking & unusual, especially with the black strip behind them. Love the colors you used, too. Hope you have a happy Mother’s Day this weekend! My brother & SIL are coming down tomorrow so we can celebrate with our mom. I’m technically not a mother–at least, not to human children–but I still have our 3 cats, so I figure that counts, too! LOL I did make a card for them to “give” to Mama (their Grandma), which came out really well, if I do say so myself. (And in fact, I just did!) Anyway, happy Mother’s Day to you and all the moms out there! 😺 ~ Andrea

I love how you fix even the smallest mistake and make it look like it was all part of the design. You are the best.

Gorgeous card Darlene. I love the cut-out side and the black strip just finishes it off. Happy Mother’s Day Andrea and all mums of children and animals. Just looking at the time and it is 12.14 am (in NSW, Australia) so it is already Mother’s Day here.
