Mondo Monochromatic

Mondo Sakura

Hi All!

Thank you for being so understanding about my vacation last week! All of you were so kind in the comments and I appreciate it so much. It was a great time… I added a few photos at the end of the post.

I have another card for you in the spirit of the August Monochromatic Challenge. This time I’m using a Zig marker on some colored cardstock. It was such an easy card!

I used the Mondo Sakura set on this card as well – it’s great for coloring.

Here is a close-up of my coloring:

While we were in Colorado, we did a ropes course at the top of the mountain. It was so much fun! Plus the weather and scenery were fantastic. Here are all of us ready to go:

The girl in the middle is a friend of the family who came with us. Here I am pretty much in control:

And here I am not in control at all. Courtney is in front of me:

All of us finished the entire course, which took several hours. I felt very accomplished afterward. 🙂

Welcome back! Loved the snapshots. You looked like you were having a lot of fun too. You must be keeping yourself super fit when you’re not being creative. I loved your card this week. So bright and dramatic looking. The flicking technique with slightly darker coral shade colour really set it off too.

Wow–only 15 minutes for such a striking card–most impressive! I had quite forgotten it’s Wednesday, until I saw the e-mail notification for your card in my inbox. LOL I love how the coloring turned out, and the whole design as well. Glad you had such a great vacation! That ropes course looks difficult, and several hours to complete it??? I doubt I’d even try something like that! Looks like you had loads of fun, though, & I’m sure the temperatures were better than here in sauna-like Texas. Thanks so much for sharing not only your card, but your vacation photos, too! Hope you have an awesome day! 😺 ~ Andrea

Hi Darlene, you looked like you had a great time on your vacation! Love this card…don’t really care for Flirty Flamingo CS and haven’t bought any, but with the zig marker…it turned out great! I may reconsider…if it is still available from SU. The flicks method turned out great! 😎.

We vacationed and did some hiking too at Gros Morne Narional Park in Newfoundland last month to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Google it, the scenery was spectacular! glad you’re back!

I love the card. Just my kind of simple and pretty. I think I will have to give the Ropes course a miss (lol) but I am glad you had family time together. It brings back memories. Thanks Darlene.

Wow, a few hours of that I would be a wreck. It looks really scary. I am not sure that I would call that a vacation but I hope you had a great one. Beautiful card also.
