Microglitter and Copic Coloring

Glitter and Copics

Hi All!

Today I used Copic markers on top of microfine glitter. It’s really hard to tell from the photos, but the sparkle is really gorgeous! Here is a close-up:

Glitter and Copics

I wouldn’t use Copics on any kind of glitter – it needs to be very fine and smooth. It’s really amazing how well the color spreads and blends when you use Copic markers on this glitter.

The cake is a sticker! They look like a black embossed images. I used the butterflies on THIS CARD awhile back. You can find several designs at Ellen Hutson. Most of them are only $2 each! Unfortunately, they don’t have the cakes, but you can get them on Amazon.

They were supposed to paint my new craft room this week, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. 🙁 Maybe next week, if I’m lucky. They are scheduled to install the countertops this week. If they do, I’ll post an updated photo!

Enjoy the video and have a wonderful week!

thank you for the tip about putting on the sticker before doing the glitter. I have done this technique once and it bled bc I didn’t follow this step!

Although I wouldn’t want to make the card myself, it is really stunning and I did get some helpful tips for other cards from watching your video. That’s the great thing about your videos, there is always something really useful to learn. Thanks so much!

That is really cool. I have bunches of these stickers….they are really awesome but I still have never used them with glitter yet. You are motivating me to try.

Loving the micro-glitter technique (and the die frame, too)… there’s always one more thing to add to my craft supplies. 🙂 The cake has a candle but it also has intertwined rings which makes me think how lovely this would be made into a wedding card, too.
