This was inspired by sketch and friends that travelled to Iceland to see the Aurora. They didn't get to see much other than a small green area. Hence the sentiment happy holidays. The deers are so magestic and still, It reminds me to be still and know that I am God. The circle is made of gold mizuhiki paper cord glued together, the aurora is distress oxides spritzed then overlayed with stencil of dotted texture paste that dries translucent. The blue background is not part of the card, just used to photograph on. Hope you enjoy.

I hope that this is close enough to the sketch to qualify. Mother's Day is coming up, and this sentiment caught my eye.

I used 2 Power Poppy sets: Short Stacks and Sassy Succulents for this card. The paper I used is from Gina K Designs: In the Navy, Layering Base White, PP from the Masculine kit. I masked the flowers and hearts mug from the original Short Stacks image and stamped the succulents on the gifts. I remembered seeing this idea on the Power Poppy blog at one time. This will be going to my brother on his birthday. Thanks for looking.

The sketch challenge was the perfect inspiration for my Mother’s Day card. Die cuts made with my Scan N Cut machine. Distress Oxide ink blending behind. Recycled ribbon and an ancient embossing folder finished it off.

Used My Monthly Hero Kit for May 2018 (so many silhouette stamps -- love them). Dry embossed background using a stencil and inked it up using Ranger Distress Oxides. See other details http://www.anneslatterycards.com/live-love-cards-sketch-challenge/
Friendly Words
Friendly Words
This was an easy challenge. I decided to go for classic old SU! stamps. Happy Moments and friendly words for the background. I adhered the focal circle onto the black mat with foam tape for dimension, and then onto crumb cake circle. Inked up the background stamp with crumb cake ink. Stamp was colored with copics. Sentiment is a Lawn Fawn die and it was adhered onto hand drawn fishtail banner with dimensionals along the bottom. Thanks for looking!

I made this card for the mother & grandmother of a toddler who died suddenly last month. I used Clearly Besotted's "Elegant Butterflies" stamp set & coordinating die. I stamped the larger butterfly, colored, & die cut it; and used the smaller stamp of the same design to stamp & heat emboss the 2 teal panels. Hopefully this card will bring them some comfort.

Great sketch for the challenge, Darlene, & I love your interpretation of it! Really good job on the background. I never would have thought to combine those 3 ink colors and smoosh all at the same time, but it worked out really well for this. Thank you for sharing! 😺 ~ Andrea

Awesome sketch Darlene and I love your interpretation of it!!!
This starfish is just so cute as is the rest of this set. Love your smooshed background, the colors you picked worked perfectly as a background for this cute little sea critter.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Hugs.

I love this starfish. He’s adorable. Your background panel is beautiful and the card is so simple and just the way I like it. After watching your videos, I now call myself a minimalist, Less seems to be best (smile)!
