Luminarte Silk Glazes

Silk Glaze

Hi All,

I have another new product today! And man, are the colors just completely extraordinary? In real life, they are even better, if you can believe it.

Many times I hear about new products from the members here. In this case, Becky tipped me off to the vibrancy of the Luminarte Silk Glazes. Thank you Becky!!

Not only are they vibrant, they are also shimmery because they have mica in the paint. Here is a close-up:

Silk Glaze

They are water-based, so there is a lot you can do. For this card, I decided to use them dry to get the full effect of the color. It literally glows from the other side of my craft room.

The paints come individually and are also sold in sets of six. Simon Says Stamp has a wide variety of colors. I got my 6-pack from Amazon. This set came with these colors: Pretty Peridot, Sky Blue, Spiced Pumpkin, Jasmine, Emperor’s Gold, and Snap Dragon (I used the last 4 on this card). These paints are definitely cheaper by the six-pack.

Tomorrow is the last day to enter the October challenge! Enjoy the video and have a great weekend. 🙂

Is anyone else having a problem viewing this video? It is only playing in few second intervals, I try pausing it and waiting for the grey line to advance but even that is not helping. I am having no problem whatsoever with YouTube videos…very frustrating. 🙁

Jennifer, were you able to get the video working? Sometimes just closing your browser and reopening will help.

        Hi Darlene,
No unfortunately not even rebooting my computer has helped.

Just beautiful, I love the vibrancy of those colors in the sky you created for this card, and the dies are just so pretty too, thank you for sharing Darlene.

Darlene, I had that same problem with the smoke from that house but I found that if you pull the die cut from the bottom of the house up towards the smoke it will release…you just have to be really careful and follow the smoke. I’m using those dies to make my daughter a set of monochromatic Christmas cards to send out to her peeps. Those paints are amazing! If I didn’t already have my eye on some iridescent paints and have 2 sets of the Pearl X powders for mixing with other paints…hehe

Thanks for sharing another awesome video and beautiful card!!! =)
