Live Video Chat Tonight!

FavoriteLoadingAdd to favorites

Hi All,

Just a reminder that I will doing the live video chat tonight at 6pm CT in the US. To determine your local time, use this time zone converter (my location is “USA-Texas-Dallas”). A few notes on how it will work:

  • The chat will be done on YouTube, so you’ll actually be inside YouTube, not on this site (the link to launch YouTube is below).
  • You will see me live on video, but I won’t be able to see you. It’s one-way from a video perspective.
  • I will be answering questions from THIS POST, so if you have a question, go ahead and post it there now. You can also email me with questions.
  • There is a traditional chat window to the right of the video within the YouTube interface. This chat window will allow everyone to type chat comments that can be seen by everyone else, including me.
  • Google owns YouTube. Google requires you to login to chat, so you’ll need a Google account. You probably already have one and don’t even know it. Just click the “sign-in” button in the upper right corner of the interface.
  • I will be taking questions from this chat window once the chat begins, so type your questions there during the live broadcast.
  • Because I will be answering questions via the video, I don’t plan on typing into the chat window.
  • I have tested the chat on Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer. I have tested it on a Mac and a Windows PC. I have tested it on an iPad and an iPhone. The only problem I found was that the chat window was not visible on the iPhone.
  • The chat will be available on demand after the broadcast is over.

Okay, let’s just hope everything goes smoothly. See you tonight!

Hi Darlene! I planned to get on LiveChat tomorrow (9am Thursday in Australia) but am not sure this will now be possible. We have a messy day ahead here! But, I will do my best. If I’m not on board though, I wanted to leave a question or two. And I’ve been wracking my brain to come up with something. You have thought things out so well and designing websites is really not my area of expertise anyway (smile). In your video, you said that we could click on the country and it would bring up everyone from that country. I did this and there were only a few people listed. I happen to know that there are other people in Australia who were not on the list who are active members. The question is: Do you have to identify yourself and your country in your profile before this happens? I tend to think that this must be the case. Also, another question: Is there some way that those in our various birthday groups could have their group members email addresses easily? It would be nice to communicate with them, especially when I received a lovely card out of the blue from one of the members recently. Well that’s all for me now. I may see you online tomorrow!

I miss the live chat, but checked it out after the live streaming. Thank you for doing this and open your life and experience to us. I took a lot great tips and ideas from it. I would love to see a series about blogging, especially from a more technique point of few. And I had to smile when you talked about SU and stamps etc. I am a CTMH consultant and I see the same things happening there too.I am like you, putting the hope into the next book and see if something better comes up….never the less, papers, inks etc are still superb. Well, I guess we will see what time brings.
In any event, keep up the awesome work. Your site is my favorite one to be part of and I love to learn 🙂 Looking back on how I started….I absolutely agree with you….We develope our crafting skills with every card we make and looking back you can clearly see this development enfold. We currently have a monthly “A Year of Techniques” hop on our blog which is so much fun. I can only encougare everyone to try this ones at least. These challenges each month give you a lot of practise and sometimes you have to work with mediums you didn’t thoguht about before….Thank You for all you do and I’ll keep watching and finally have to participate in your challenges 🙂 Hugs your way

Great chat Darlene! I loved hearing the questions and answers. I’m behind on my commenting, but nothing new there. lol You have the prettiest smile, it just changes the whole look of your face. I love to see your smile!! I hope you smile a lot! Thanks for doing the chat, it was fun even though I couldn’t be there for it when it was live. Hugs, Brenda
