Hi All,
I rarely create a neutral-colored card, so this one is a little different for me. I actually had planned on adding a splash of color, but in the end I decided I liked it the way it was. 🙂
Normally I use Stampin’ Up!’s Crumb Cake cardstock for kraft. But, this Hero Arts Kraft is darker and richer, which enhances the contrast with the white detail.
Here is a close-up:
I really like this feather set by Altenew. I used it previously on this card.
Enjoy the video and have a great weekend!

I also stand back and don’t often do neutral cards but enjoyed this one.
The dotted feather has more card colour showing which gives a great contrast
to the 2nd feather as far as white pencil goes. The splatters really add something.
Thanks for the inspiration x

I would think this could make a nice masculine card as well. Not sure how guys in general feel about feathers, but it seems pretty gender-neutral to me anyway. I like the ultra-limited color palette you used, Darlene. The feathers stand out as the focal point, but still seem really integrated into the design–probably because of the splatters covering everything. Love how it turned out! Hope y’all have a great weekend! 😺 ~ Andrea

I’m with you Andrea, I think it would make a great masculine card. I also think the colour palette you used is perfect for feathers. I’m quite impressed Darlene. Thank you.

I’ve become quite a fan of feathers recently after buying Feathers by Darkroom Door, an Australian stamp company. This Altenew stamp set is also very soecisl and your card design is simple eloquence once again.
