Jazz Dance Circles

Hi All!

I’m using another product from the new Simon Says Stamp release called Jazz Dance Stencil. It has some cool and interesting overlapping circles. I used some silver embossing paste with it, and I think makes a great masculine card.

I talk in the video about using too much paste, which causes the paste to pull up a bit when you remove the stencil – see my case in point:

Thanks Darlene. This card is perfect for a man. I also really like the Dreamweaver Silver Embossing Paste that you used. I go through phases and haven’t used embossing paste for a while. You’ve reminded me that I must do that again soon!

Wow I really love this, gold would look great too I think.
It’s difficult for me to come up with ideas for masculine cards so this is a great inspiration thanks 😀
Maybe masculine card design should be a challenge one month – oops did I really say that??

I love the graphic look of this card, Darlene! The silver really pops against the black background, and I love that stencil design. Another way to get metallic embossing paste is to take regular and color it with metallic ink. I forget if I’ve done that with paste or just a gel medium, though. (It has been a while since I’ve done it.) You may need quite a bit of ink, but I just smoosh the ink pad onto a non-stick craft sheet & mix it into the medium/paste that way. I suppose you could do the same with a metallic acrylic paint instead of the ink pad, now that I think about it. Anyway, it works like a charm, and, assuming you already have paste or gel medium but not metallic embossing paste, you have one fewer jar to take up space in your craft area (space being at a premium for me especially!). Just thought I’d share. We’re getting our almost-daily thunderstorm now, so at least we don’t have to water our plants tonight!
