Honey Hive

Honey Hive

Hi All!

I thought I would do another card with dry embossing for the April challenge that launched on Monday. I added some clear embossing to my raised areas to make them appear like they are coated in honey. Here is a close-up:

Honey Hive

This Honey set is so cute. I used the bee on this card and this card. There is also a little bee that I put on the inside:

Enjoy the video and have a wonderful weekend!

Very cute card. Love that bee. The clear embossing in the honeycomb was so realistic. You always seem to come up with these clever little touches. Is this the last card for the week?! I guess it is because there have already been 2 cards. If so, hope you have a great weekend too!

Brilliant idea of clear embossing the honey comb! This card is adorable and one of my favorites for 2018. Agree with Connie regarding, “You always seem to come up with these clever little touches.”

Love the idea of clear embossing the Honeycomb embossing folder, it really looks like there is some delicious honey dripping there.
The bees are adorable, fabulous card Darlene, thank you for sharing.

Such a cute card. When you started with yellow card I thought what’s she going to do, but the results were so realistic. I think this challenge has so many possibilities.

The clear embossing really adds a unique touch! Love the simple design, too. Proof that cards don’t have to have everything AND the kitchen sink to be beautiful. Thanks for the video, Darlene, and have a wonderful rest of your week & weekend! 😺 ~ Andrea

Love the Honey comb. My daughter is a bee keeper so I can’t wait to get the stamp and make her birthday card using it. I will have to change and add to it since I make 5×7 cards’ but your Idea is so helpful. Love it.

I love that you make 5×7 cards! That is awesome. When I first got into card making I was so disappointed when I realized how small these cards really were. They are like birthday invitation sized. But I have gotten used to it. All the products (stamps, etc) are geared towards A2. But now alot of the larger sentiment stamps and sentiment dies and large center stage type stamps really would work for larger cards like 5×7. I think I will start trying out larger cards!

Ahhh-dorable. I’m super into bees lately, with our last name Blocker. I’m cross stitching and embroidering a couple bees currently. I have that folder but different bee and bear stamps and a circle die that would work to put my own spin on it. The embossed honey look is the best part.
